What can I say about myself? I'm married to my soulmate for almost 40 years. I am also a proud mother of two adult sons, I have six grandchildren and I am blessed with the the two best daughters-in-law in the world. I have a passion for learning & I have continued to take college courses even though I am approaching retirement age. I am an advanced practice registered nurse & I feel that I need to provide care to people who might have felt excluded from healthcare in the past. My goal is to provide care to families at any stage in life, that is the pregnant family, the growing family with young children, the lauching family & the older family as long as my mind & body remain active.

My secret passion & enjoyment across the years is the Superman mythos. I've watched its evolution. There have been positives & negatives in the evolution but the enjoyment is still there. I've always wondered what it would be like to be the last of one's kind, feeling alone & needing to hide. To be adored by many & feared by some.

Superman is just that story. He came as an orphan to a planet that is ambivalent at best about differences in people. In fact, judging from our science fiction movies & TV shows, Earth is absolutely xenophobic. The fact that he chooses to help humanity when he has the ability to enslave us is a noble nature that is not always appreciated. He seeks that which most humans enjoy, a family. Can he ever really have his greatest desire or will there always be obstacles in his way? Who knows!
