Author has written 27 stories for Rurouni Kenshin, Inuyasha, and Twilight. I’m not talking about the story line of the original canon (which is also my favorite) but the community of people who still participate in it. RK may have received a new boost from the release of the movie and the cinema-ban manga, but there is still a cluster of us that have kept up with these characters through the years. We keep with them because we love them, and I think we treat them well. There are other larger more popular fandoms out there (one that shall remain nameless but I tragically write for... no, not that one, the other one) that is a sea of people who like the original story and goes through a crazed fan phase. Maybe the older fandoms have stood the test of time, but what I’m trying to say is I love my RK readers and writers. I think RK fandom is the main line tethering me to fanfiction after all these years. November was my decade anniversary in ff net and I’ve loved every minute. Thanks! It’s chock full of terrible writing, accompanied by a generic plot, but it is what really taught me the do’s and don’ts of narrative writing. I can't bring myself to delete it, but I do wish the option of "hide story" was available as I am more embarrassed than I am proud of that fic. Remembering You: complete I think RY was kept me writing all through those mid years. It was a fun story to get through, especially because I knew the ending before I knew what to shove in the middle. I sometimes consider writing for Inuyasha again, but nothing so epiclly long as RY. Streams of Our Consciousness: complete-ish This is a experiment of sorts. I wanted to write 100-word drabbles, but didn't have a topic to write on. So, I decided I would write from the perspectives of different RK characters on the relationship that Kenshin and Kaoru share. I tried to write from perspectives that aren't completely mainstream. Quadrille of War: incomplete, on an indefinite hiatus As much as I love this fic I need to rewrite most of the chapters I have up. I need to figure out the storyline and flow. Currently I cringe at the dialogue. And there really were no readers for that fic. Maybe its a genre that's way too weird. System Compatibility: incomplete, after 5.5 years of not writing a RK epic, I've come back to this fandom and I missed & love it This fiction is an odd creature. It's about androids, government agencies, spies, assassins, and a study of what it means to be human. I never saw myself as a sci-fi writer, but I kind of love it. It's a great exercise of writing to dive into a different genre. Cause of Death: incomplete My first and hopefully only Twilight fic. It's a very crowded fandom that I never considered participating in, but after reading the books (because I couldn't justify criticizing the franchise without giving it a chance) and there is a desperate need for a rewrite. Ms. Meyers seriously ruined the vampire genre by taking away all the consequences of immortality, so I decided to change the story to still consider the idea of what it means to be alive. One-Shots: I am currently going through an obsessively vignette cranking out phase in writing. I have always come up with scenes I want to write, but not entire stories. So, I started just writing the scenes. I might expand on some of these with additional scenes, but I can't see them as full-blown stories.
