Jesus is Lord!

I love the Chronicles of Narnia and The Lord of the Rings.

I am in college, majoring in writing and minoring in Biblical languages.

Here are my own opinions of and/or summaries of and/or reasons for writing the fanfiction stories that I have posted, in the order that they were origionally posted.

1. Loose Ends (Narnia)

This is a story of what became of Susan after her family died in the train wreck at the end of The Last Battle. I wrote it because I was sad for Susan, and because few, if any, fanfiction writers (at that time; there are plenty of them now) seemed to remember that since she was "once a (king or) queen in Narnia," she would be "always a (king or) queen." Until that time, I had not tried to write any fanfiction, but had read a good deal of it, and I think it turned out very well for a first attempt. (Actually, I think it turned out quite well for a Susan story, or any story, but that is an opinion.) It was written in about two weeks when I was still in high school, but it's really not any less worth reading because of that.

The story line is pretty much that Susan lives a normal, boring life until she's old, happens to find the magic rings in her closet, and she has one last small, bitter-sweet adventure (not in Narnia, of course; Narnia's pool in the Wood between the Worlds has gone the way of Charn's) before re-discovering all that she's forgotten.

2. All the Same (Narnia)

This is a sort of continuation of "Loose Ends," but it's completely different and only has one character in it from the other story (although there are two that were only mentioned before). I wrote it partly just because I'd left space for it by having Susan leave the magic rings and a set of the Narnia books for her grandchildren. Leaving space made me curious to see what would happen if I kept going...This was begun very shortly after "Loose Ends" was finished, but not finished for about two years. This was largely due to my having a rough season in real life, and also due to my starting college and not having as much time.

The story here is that Susan's two grandchildren, Peter, age twelve, and Martha, age seven, discover Narnia (through books) and my original world from the last story (with the magic rings), meeting up with Crystal (the girl in the last story who reminded Susan that she was still a queen) and travelling to yet another world to help solve a problem. (Really, they only inspire the inhabitants of that world to ask help from the only One who can give it, and the help needed is more pardon than assistance.) By the way, Xerxes is not Moses, but I must admit that Mount Niol is meant to kind of suggest Mount Sinai.

There were two other works, but they were deleted.

I was bored, so decided to put the names of my favorite characters here.

My favorite character in LOTR is Sam. You just have to love Sam. My second favorite is Frodo. The end of The Return of the King absolutely broke my heart the first time I read it, because I skipped the appendices. Anyone who hasn't read LOTR yet, don't forget the appendices.

My favorite character in the Narnia books is Lucy. It's kind of weird, but I have always imagined her with my face. She reminds me of Mary (whichever one was the sister of Lazarus), but she has my face. I actually do have a reason for that. When I was a little kid, I saw the cartoon of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, and Lucy looked just like me, literally, right down to the yellow pigtails. When I was older, and read the books, the impression carried over. I don't know who my second favorite would be. I like Eustace, Edmund, Reepicheep (he plays chess!), and everybody else.

Well, now you know something about me. I really like online anonymity, though, don't you? No name or whatnot. I would rather know someone's favorite characters than their age, height, and weight any day.
