Author has written 9 stories for Yu-Gi-Oh, and Yu Yu Hakusho. My profile was due for a major overhaul, so I'll just start from the beginning... My pen name is Tawnya Kisaragi, but in real life, most people call me Duo (from Gundam Wing). It was a nickname I picked up in high school because (1) my real name is very common, and (2) it fits with the rest of my personality. With the exception of a handful of people, I don't even respond to my birth name anymore. I'm known to be very split-minded about most things, and on more than one occasion, been accused of being a rather vengeful shinigami. I graduated from college in 2006 with a degree in English, with an emphasis on Creative Writing, and a minor in Japanese. Sometime in the near future, I hope to attend graduate school to further both of those interests. In the mean time, I'm following the call of my muse, writing on two separate stories that I hope to send out for publication soon. I've been writing since I entered junior high, and I like writing fanfiction because it gives me a chance to practice my craft without the worry of editors or deadlines. I tend to write the kind of fanfics I'd like to read, and find it to be a great way to work through frustrations and writing blocks that cramp up my more serious endeavors. Because of that, I don't tend to update very often, but reviews are very much welcome, even if it's only to say that my work was enjoyed. I enjoy reading as much as writing, most of which is American fantasy and gothic sci-fi (specifically Vampire Hunter D). I really enjoy the Asian classics (The Tale of Genji, Journey to the West, The Tale of the Heikei, The Pillow Book) as well as most Asian poetry, and I absolutely adore the folklore/myths/legends of any culture. I also like history, though I'm terrible with dates. I tend to read a lot of manga because it acts as a quick fix when my mind is wandering, or I don't have a lot of time. If I have hours to kill, I play video games, mostly RPGs, though I do enjoy old school puzzlers (i.e. The Adventures of Lolo). I could probably spend hours typing out all the anime series I like, but the ones I tend to write for/read the most are Yu-Gi-Oh!, Yu Yu Hakusho, and Gundam Wing. So yeah, I'm a pretty basic yaoi fangirl. Because this is a fan-based site, what I'm about to say should be common knowledge and a well-established fact. However, in the interest of protecting my own ass, I will state it again: I do not own any character of any series that I write about and post on this site.
