Author has written 6 stories for Harvest Moon. 3/20/13 - Hey there! I don't know if anyone actually checks my profile for updates (probably not, considering how little I actually update it), but anyhow, things are pretty busy for me with school and all. I'm working on the next chapter though! Just thought I'd give a quick update. Also, if you've sent me a message and I haven't responded, I'm so sorry about that. I would never intentionally ignore anyone. >_> Hello readers and writers of FanFiction! Please, call me Violet. The fandom I mainly write for is Harvest Moon. I’ve been an avid player for about eight or nine years now, and I own eleven games. My favorite is probably Animal Parade, Sunshine Islands, or Tale of Two Towns. My favorite characters: ToT/AP: Chase, Gill, Luke, Candace, Kasey, Maya FoMT/MFoMT: Elli, Doctor Trent, Gray, Claire, Cliff ToTT: Dirk, Ash, Cam, Phillip IoH/SI: Chelsea, Lily, Will Pairings I have an open mind when it comes to pairings. I like most all the rival pairings. I will read (and sometimes write) stories that include game mixing, AU, and noncanon pairings. In my opinion, those are fine to write and I don’t see why people get annoyed when writers mix the games and include noncanon pairings. As long as it’s written well, I think you can get away with almost anything plot-wise. :) It’s your story, after all. My Story Preferences I don’t read or write stories that include swearing, heavy violence, horror, supernatural stuff or spiritism (Wizard/Witch/H. Goddess/magic), yaoi, yuri (due to my religious beliefs, I don’t agree with the homosexual lifestyle, but I’m not a homophobe), lemons, or limes. I don’t particularly like strictly romance stories. When I write, I try to include many genres for interest and variety. My favorites include mystery, adventure, friendship, humor, suspense, and drama. As swingdancer23 puts it, I have an obsession for “twisty-twistedness,” both in my writing and in my reading. Character interactions are my favorite thing to write, and I admittedly get carried away with conversational dialogue (especially when I’m writing Chase. It just comes naturally. xD) I’m not the best with oneshots. My multi-chapter fics are really detailed and there’s usually a lot of plot stuff going on. My main issue is conveying things clearly. Sometimes I get a little confusing, but I’m working on it! My FFN Friends I really owe thanks to all the people who have read my stories and reviewed. Your support is incredible. I also want to give a shout-out to some of my friends and inspirations here on FFN. Swingdancer23 is my best friend and the reason I am part of this lovely site today. We know each other in real life and love to obsess over Harvest Moon together. We actually have a joint account where we write humor/parody stuff. But anyway, her stories are fantastic! She’s the tragedy master. I love the way she conveys emotion in her word choices. Lyric is an overall amazing writer. Check out my personal favorite story of hers: C’est La Vie. CowGirl7384 is another one my real-life friends! She's super good at writing emotion and I always love her stories. :) Iseki is a great author! Her writing style is unlike anything I’ve ever read. She has the most interesting, beautiful perspectives on everyday situations. She’s such a nice person and a wonderful inspiration. HorseGirl784 is another fantastic writer. She’s so good. Honestly, one of the best on FFN. I love her descriptions and her spot-on characterizations. She’s been an amazing friend and supporter to me. Theatrelove123 is an extraordinary person. She always answers my (crazy) questions and gives me encouragement and advice. I love her stories! Her sense of humor is great and I always enjoy her writing style. I LOVE WALKING PEACHES is one of the best Harvest Moon fanartists ever. No joke. She made an incredible book cover for my story, Caught Clueless. She’s such a nice person (not to mention a fellow Chase fan). :D Check out her art on dA! Her stories are pretty good too. ;) P.Jay13and IslandGirl892 also deserve a huge thank you for giving some of the best reviews ever. I get so much inspiration and encouragement from our conversations, and I really appreciate them taking the time to faithfully leave detailed reviews and talk with me. :) Quote Time: “Use what talent you possess: the woods would be very silent if no birds sang except those that sang best." – Henry Van Dyke I’m obviously not the greatest writer in the known universe, but if you have any writing questions, don’t hesitate to shoot me a PM. I’d be glad to check out your story and offer advice (as long as it doesn’t scar my mind with cuss-outs and/or inappropriate romantic actions). lol Thanks for reading my profile. Hopefully this helped you kill some time... or, ya know, learned a little about me, which is why you came here, right? xDD I also have a deviantart account. -Violet- | |||||
