Hello, everyone!

My name is Nancy (well, that's obvious) and I'm a forty-something female living in the Metro Atlanta area of Georgia, in the good ole US of A. I am the mother of a 23 year old son, Jimmy, who, as a Marine, has recently been deployed to the sand (Iraq). My interests include: reading & writing (historical romance, action/adventure, military, science fiction, mystery, western and comedy), watching television and movies (same genres), genealogy (my ancestry is mostly British but I am also Cherokee, Creek and Choctaw Indian), photography (that's why I'm in so few pictures), and Facebook. Yes, yes...I know...I'm addicted.

Speaking of addictions...let's talk about the shows I write fanfics for...or should I say about. (I WISH I wrote for them. And when I grow up, I want to be a screenwriter.) My very first fanfic (unpublished) was a ST /TOS and ST/TNG crossover. (I would love to finish that someday but would have to recreate it from memory as the original work was destroyed.) Then, back in the mid to late '90's, I was a HUGE fan of the couple Mike & Carrie on Days of Our Lives. A dear friend of mine challenged me to write a fanfic about them. I swallowed hard and said, "okay! I'll do it!" So, my very first published fanfic was "Without a Trace". The basic premise was that Carrie was kidnapped on her wedding day to Mike Horton and taken to...oh, wait...I see what you're doing...no, no...you gotta read the fanfic yourself. ;-) I FOUND WITHOUT A TRACE!! I recently found this fanfic hidden in a file within a file. Abby and McGee would be proud. Please, read and review!! I continued writing fanfics based on DAYS characters but mostly stayed with Mike/Carrie and Shawn/Belle writing under the names "Shawns_Girl" and "MikesLuv". I've also written fanfics based on Burn Notice, JAG, The Pretender and most recently, NCIS and Bonanza. I am a HUGE Gibbs-aholic folks and on the message boards, you'll find me writing under "GibbsGirl Nancy". While I should be working on the fanfics already in production, I've gotten a hankerin' to write a Bonanza fanfic series written under the name "Adams_Lady". I'm sorry folks. I gotta go with what the bunnies tell me.

I am blessed to have some awesome friends on the site and am also blessed to have the encouragement and beta skills of some awesomely (that's a word, right?) prolific writers as well. :wavin' to my girls: I love reviews (good or bad) so keep sending them in. As HildeJ puts it, "it helps the bunnies".

Now, a word about my current fanfics:

Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea culpa! I have to apologize for not updating any sooner than now. I have got so many irons in the fire and have run out of hot pads to hold'em with. I've had a lot going on in my personal life lately but am still writing in my head. I haven't forgotten my NCIS fanfics nor have I forgotten the others I need to finish. I promise to finish them soon.

I have recently submitted three stories in the Confession series: Drunken Confessions, Sober Truths and Truths and Confessions. The third story, Truths and Confessions, was written in Gibbs POV first person which I've never done before. My apologies if it doesn't turn out well. I can always rewrite it. I'm taking a short break from my NCIS stories to work on "Cats in the Cradle" which I so desperetly need to finish. Once that one is finished, I'll be working on a new fanfic I've already created but not posted. More about that later. I'm also working on some background info on a Bonanza fanfic. See, I told you...too many irons in the fire.
