I just like to rant!) Hagaren Country 10/28/09: I was almost finished with chapter 11 when the inspiration fairy came down (drunk and abusive as usual) and made me rewrite the entire chapter from scratch. So it's going to be at least another two weeks. It's a shame because some of the dialog in the "lost chapter" was quite comedic and helped to lighten what is otherwise a very dark and angsty overtone. Ah, that Yoki. He is a character. 11/04/09: I'm still plugging away on chapter 11. I'm having fun with the philosophical theme of this chapter, although that is making it difficult to write. I'm also having some problems with linking the FMA and TRC universes with the Gate. It's a little harder than I thought, but I hope the result is interesting. 11/08/09: Sent the first draft of chapter 11 off to my beta readers. Should have an update ready by the weekend. From Time to Time This fic is not so much extinct as it is endangered. I've had a half-finished chapter 4 sitting in a folder for going on, sheesh, three years now. Sometimes I'll open it and add a sentence or two, but I really don't see myself finding the motivation to ever finish it. This fic is my little guilty pleasure. I think I should throw caution to the wind and just write the darn thing. Yeah! ...nah. And if you've ever wondered why I don't update, here's a pretty good explanation: Oh My God, I'll Never Get Home A piece of a man had broken off in a road. He picked it up and put it in his pocket. As he stopped to pick up another piece he came apart at the waist. | |||||||||
