The moments before InuYasha's birth when Sesshoumaru comes to meet his pregnant stepmother for the first time (she's due any minute). b. And the hardships little Kaede has to face after Kikyo dies. When that happens, Reika, the village healer, takes the little girl in. (Naraku does make trouble.) InuYasha's presence is felt throughout the story which ties both timelines together. Basically, this story is mostly centered on characters with not as much exposure in the series. And for you Sesshoumaru fans, there's main participation from him. I kind of took this opportunity to delve in his soul.
