Author has written 8 stories for Sucker Punch, Inception, Fruits Basket, Fairy Tales, Snow White and the Huntsman, and Alice in Wonderland.
Hey. This is FireflyCity, and welcome to my fanfiction profile. I love writing and everything about it (except for the fact that I never get enough time to do it) and I take great pride in the works I write. I am very open to any comments or suggestions readers have to give me, and will actually listen to flames instead of simply writing you off as a hater. As far as genres go, I dabble a bit in every type, and my stories can range anywhere from adventure/mystery tales to angst/drama tragedies.Though nearly all of my ideas are original, I must (admittedly) give a lot of credit for my story inspiration to my good friend Chaos Of A Butterfly, for without her and Your Worst Nightmare Is Moi, I would have never found fanfiction in the first place.
Well, that pretty much sums everything up. If you're bored, curious, a loser, a stalker, an intrigued fan, a foreign spy, or just someone with extra time to kill, feel free to read the rest of my profile. :)
THANKS AGAIN TO ALL THE READERS!
Backstab- (Currently under re-revsision) My first fanfiction ever, completed 3-16-12. Thank you so much to all of my wonderful readers who supported me throughout, and a HUGE thank you to Chaos Of A Butterfly, who provided me with the majority of the inspiration and many plot ideas for the story.
Ties That Bind Us- Temporary Hiatus for revision.
CES LIENS QUI NOUS UNISSENT- "Ties that Bind Us", the same story translated into French by Frederick Ssen.
The Secret Life of Birds- My first one-shot, examining the inner thoughts of Akito about her family and place in the Sohma curse. If it was not already obvious, the idea for my title came from Sue Monk Kidd's The Secret Life of Bees.
Always the Heart- A one-shot based on a very vivd and very moving dream I had a while back.
Gravity- My longest one-shot to date, and probably my most well-written. Title inspired by the song "Gravity of Love" by Enigma.
Forgotten- A cute little one-shot that I wrote for the heck of it. Originally the first chapter to a fanfiction "Happy Birthday Kyo", which was abandoned after I lost all love for the Fruits Basket Fandom.

"'You know, some things in life don't matter much, Lily. Like the color of a house. How big is that in the overall scheme of life? But lifting a person's heart- now, that matters. The whole problem with people is-' 'They don't know what matters and what doesn't,' I said, filling in her sentence and feeling proud of myself for doing so. 'I was gonna say, The problem is they know what matters, but they don't choose it... The hardest thing on Earth is choosing what matters.'"

My favorite* "Mom says each of us has a veil between ourselves and the rest of the world, like a bride on her wedding day, except this kind of veil is invisible. We walk around happily with these invisible veils hanging down over our faces. The world is kind of blurry, and we like it that way. But sometimes our veils are pushed away for a few moments, like there's a wind blowing it from our faces. And when the veil lifts, we can see the world as it really is, just for those few seconds before it settles down again. We see all the beauty, and cruelty, and sadness, and love. But mostly we are happy not to. Some people learn to lift the veil themselves. Then they don't have to depend on the wind anymore." -Rebecca Stead, When You Reach Me
"Giving creative people too much free time could be dangerous. We might just end up taking over the world when you're not looking."
"The Road Not Taken" by: Robert Frost
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood,
And looked down one as far as I could,
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear,
Though as for the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay,
In leaves no step had trodden black,
Oh, I marked the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads to way
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh,
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
