I'm Jo, a 33-year-old woman, bookworm, and fanfiction addict. I've been a hopeless bookworm since age 3, and started writing just before I turned 20. Open notice: After receiving some queries (some without contact information), I'd just like to say that if anyone wants to translate any of my fics into another language, use concepts from them, or write fanfic for them, go ahead. Just drop me a line to say so, because it makes me happy. AN OPEN LETTER TO MY READERS: Please do not bitch for updates. A polite "I like this story, update soon" is fine. "You haven't updated in forever", "why aren't you writing", threats, and suggestions that I stop doing other things like travel with my family (all of which I've recieved for various works) are not acceptable. Writing is very rewarding, but it's not easy, and being treated like some sort of writing slave does not help. Now, most people would say at this point that they'd only take orders about their stories if they were being paid, which is illegal in fanfiction anyway. As I've never found money to be an effective goad, I can only say this: I write for love of the series, the characters, my storyline, and for fun. Being attacked by my readers is hurtful, it's upsetting, it's at times downright frightening, and what part of that is love or fun? I'm not saying "don't tell me if there are plot holes, mischaracterizations, plain old mistakes, and confusing parts". I want to know that, so I can improve or fix things.
