Name: shieldmaiden19 (As to my real name: "HA! Wild zontars couldn't drag the information out of me!") ;)

I'm a young woman with a deep love of learning and a fascination for all things not real. I'm straight, Italian-American, and addicted to books. I'm a student, so it would be of no gain to you should you try and sue me - I have no money and will not for many years to come.

Those of you who have read my stuff know that I am a very erratic and infrequent updater. I also have the unfortunate flaw of having to focus on one story at a time, so if you like one of my stories and it hasn't been updated in an eternity, fear not - I shall try to update it once I'm done with whatever it is I'm working on right now.

I am a book addict: (Normally, I hate those cut-and-paste things, but this one was too perfect to pass up)

You can randomly open to a page and know exactly what's going on. (absolutely!)

Read the book until 4 A.M., then get back up at 7 to continue reading.

You write fanfictions about the book. (Yep)

You quote random lines all the time. (Yep - and no one gets them) :(

You try to do things that the characters do, even though you know you can't. (You have no idea how many times I've tried to do the Silencio charm on my brothers...)

You've read a book more than five times. (Psh - I've lost count of how many times I've read some books)

You've read a book with 400 pages in less than two days. (I read Deathly Hallows in less than 12 hours and that's 700 pages)

Shadows and Secrets is the story of Batman Begins (the movie) from a different perspective: Jackie Dawes, Rachael's cousin and a Gotham City Detective. She is given an off-book assignment by the Chief - find out Batman's real identity.

To Be or Not To Be is the story of the 68th Hunger Games, told from the perspective of Maeve, a tribute from District 4. Fights, romance, fights, intrigue - a normal Hunger Games fanfic in other words ;)

The Slave is the story of the daughter of a certain Jedi whose life is changed forever by one man's choice - to send her to her father's home planet rather than her brother. This is my second multi-chapter Star Wars AU and considerably better (I think) than Lady of Shadows.

Princess of Darkness is the sequel to my completed fic Lady of Shadows. (See above for more info.) It is #2 in the AU trilogy. ON TEMPORARY HIATUS

Lady of Shadows is my Star Wars AU where Leia turns to the Dark Side after the events in Cloud City. If you want to know more, go read it :) Note: This is the first multi-chapter story I have completed! *fireworks go off and a dance party ensues* I am insanely proud of this accomplishment (perhaps overly so), and any feedback whatsoever is welcome.

The Lost Letters of Penelope is a series of letters from Penelope to Odysseus over his 20-year absence. A project for my lit class turned creative.

A Soldier's Devotion is a soldier/pilot explaining the real reason for his loyalty to the Rebel Alliance. Oneshot. (I honestly don't know who he is - my thought while I was writing it was that he was Biggs Darklighter, but now I'm not so sure. Read it and tell me who you think he is!)

I Remember is a songfic inspired by the Scottish folksong Loch Lomond. Oneshot, post-RotS - Vader thinking about Padme.

Sigh No More is a fic inspired by the song Sigh No More, Ladies by Shakespeare. Leia is thinking (and ranting!) about Han. Considerably better than it sounds!

Arranged - This is yet another Leia-centric AU. (I know, I know, I should at least try and write something else!) ;) Basically, Leia is the Imperial Princess, Heir to the Imperial Throne and subject to an arranged marriage. And can anyone guess who the lucky man is? :D
