Well, I'd guess it's fair to say that Code Geass is my only real fandom at the moment, although I keep wanting to venture out into Persona 3 and 4 fandoms. I have way more passive fandoms that I read for, though. About Me: I'm too old to be writing fanfic, but too young to care. I major in Business Administration at Korea University in (you guessed it!) South Korea, where I moonlight as a normal person by day only to reveal my true (cackling, squealing, gushing) self in front of my computer at night. I'm originally from Austria. Concerning what I write: - I'm generally rather experimental, I'd say. I've written humor, angst, lots of porn... I'd like to write more longer things, gen and plot-driven stuff, but I fear I lack the plotting skill. I have confidence in my prose. My plots, not so much. - One thing I hate with passion though is seme/uke stereotypes permeating many a animanga-based fandom. It's not that I believe that characters like those typically portrayed in yaoi manga don't exist -- they can, and they do -- but rather that most characters in non-yaoi-oriented fandoms aren't much like either the hunky aggresive seme-stereotype nor the wibbly moe-tears uke cliche. Trying to shoehorn characters into the very narrow categories of 'seme' and 'uke' is, in my opinion, 90% of the time rather inaccurate confining of complex characters into narrow and pre-set boxes. - On a more posititive note, I'm open to romance between two men, two women, and one man and one woman about equally. The only real requirement for me to ship something is that I find their relationship either intellectually stimulation, emotionally pleasing, or just plain hot (or, in the case of my favorite ships, all three at once). So long as I do that, I really don't much care about the biological sex or gender of the people involved in my ship. - This is why I'm somewhat into genderswitching. I like turning, for example, my favorite yaoi ship into a het or yuri couple by genderswitching one or both of them, and observing how the biological differences in sex and the different upbringing they likely would have received influences their relationship. Genderswitching is not all I write, but I have a soft spot for it. - I go through phases with my writing. Sometimes, writing fic is all I'll think about for a month at a time, and then I'll forget all about fandom for the following two. Updates therefore come in erratic bursts and I can never make accurate forecasts. I can say with confidence is that this site is a place I always come back to -- always. Seriously, I'll probably be posting, if perhaps sporadically, by the time I'm 50. I've been a member of this site since the age of 13 -- and that was back in 2000, although I had a different account back then. To use one of my trusty metaphors (because yes, while reading my work you will be quick to walk in on me consummating my ongoing love affair with Metaphors): this fanfic account is my rocky family that you love but can't really bear to live under one roof with. I may leave for long stretches of time and shack up with a random guy, but in the end I will always come back, hopefully with a plethora of new travel tales to keep everyone entertained -- until the traveling bug bites me again and I elope like so many flurrying winds, leaving behind a few dirty socks that hang there limply like a flag of surrender as the only proof of my existence. (Yeah, I know. Also, Metaphor totally tops). Ships (because we all like to talk about shipping, right?
