Author has written 5 stories for Lord of the Rings. 7/2/2004 A new day, a new step. For a long time I have been writing sniplets for a sequel to Fortress Around the Heart. And then it became a story in my mind and the more I thought about it, the more I was convinced that it needed to be concluded. So there it is...Pentimento. No worries - I will write Irulan 3 when the extended edition is out. Until then, this is just minor experiencing on my behalf. Once again...it's just for fun. Once again...I look forward for good criticism, but do never heed flames. Read my author's note attached to the story. I hope that we will take yet another journey together. *** I have come to realize that people who write fanfiction do it for different reasons. Mine is very selfish, really. I like to write. I like to imagine. I like to explore. To push limits. To add something to myself and to unleash my soul. On this incredible journey of self-satisfaction and self-discovery, the most amazing thing happened: People from all over the world and of all ages have come across the silly results of my quest and they have taken the time to read. More incredibly, some have come to like it. Unbelievable, but some of those even have granted me with reviews and feedback! And before I knew it, we were a group, walking together and having a conversation about elves, humans, death, love, mortality, time, heroism, weakness, defeat, sacrifice, need, seduction and victory. It is one of the best things that has happened to me. My reasons for the journey have not changed. But the pleasure I took from it has grown tenfold. Thank you all for that. | |||||||
