This much should be obvious. I have an addictive personality, which is great for whatever fandom I'm in at the time, and not so good for whichever one I've just come out of. I don't have the world's best attention span, and I am an atrocious procrastinator. Therefore, waits between various postings may be... trying on anyone who is attempting to follow my stories. I will do my best not to needlessly abandon my stories - I've gotten better since my early days, in which my Justice League stories were all I was doing. My mind never stops going, so I always have more stories in my head than I have time to get down on paper. Every category I've posted in, and several I haven't, has some stories that just never made it past the planning stages, despite my best intentions. I have plans (of course) of taking the best stories out of my mental filing cabinet and actually committing them to paper and hard drive. However, the best laid plans of mice, men, and hopelessly distracted young women often go awry. Therefore, I have noted at the bottom of each category the number, level of ready-ness, and likelihood of completion of the mental-filing-cabinet stories in each. If the 'likelihood of completion' line reads low, it suggests that I will not have time, energy, or recollection to pursue the story/stories in question unless I am laid up for some time with nothing else to do. I.E., don't get your hopes up. I am sorry if one of those was one you were desperately looking forward to. I am susceptible to nagging, prodding, begging, pleading, and large monetary bribes. Kidding!! Kidding. Well, sort of. MY STORIES: Eleventh Hour: (6) I'm definitely a Hood/Rachel fan. I like the show for it's intelligence, wit, and, paraphrasing the good Mr. Sewell, the screwball comedy that's at the heart of it all. Three stories current, Understanding, which is a short one-shot, and A Woman Scorned, in which we see blatant R/H and a very sneaky!Hood. And although I don't usually do post-eps, Medea just begged for a little something, so I jumped into Hood's head for Wonder. My Kingdom for a Horse was an unplanned story that struck me after the deaths of the polo horses in Florida, very angsty. My latest story, Minutes in Hours, is a compilation of random one-shots for the series that can't stand on their own, but I wanted to post anyway. Also, I've finally posted my first M-Rated fic, Revenge is Sweet. Hood, Rachel, handcuffs. Am I too young for hot flashes? Likelihood of completion: Very High. Cars:(4) Without question, my favorite Pixar film of all time. I'm an unrepentant fan of Doc Hudson, (may fortune smile upon Paul Newman, wherever he may be. He is missed!) and my stories often tend to revolve around him, even when he's not the real focus. Memories on a Wall and Shatter are part of the same 'verse, and be warned, it's not a cheerful one. I was extremely depressed when I wrote those. Those Aren't Tulips, by contrast, is a lighthearted and funny piece. Suffixes of Use is set pre-movie and is truly Doc-centric. Upcoming for this category: One tediously long chapter fic in rough mental planning stages. Likelihood of completion: Low to Moderate Naruto: (9) My stories in this category are all over the place. I have two pieces of utter crack nonsense, in verse yet, and Seussical verse at that. (Those being, obviously, Ninja Seuss and Mary...Seuss?) Those aren't meant to be taken seriously, although I do try to keep everyone in-character. I'm a sucker for Sasu/Naru, but angst will occasionally intrude. A Thousand Shades of Black and ATSo Regret are implied Sasu/Naru and very angsty. If you want Sasu/Naru without the angst, that's Watermelon is Cheating and What about Breakfast at Tiffany's, which has nothing to do with the movie and very little to do with the song. Judgment, a request fic, and Memories in Snowflakes, my latest Naruto post, are because I am enamored of the Fourth and happier times with Kakashi. Sentimentality, my oldest post in this section, is just a short brain-dump from when I was still trying to learn the characters and got inspired by breaking a plate. The Thousand Shades stories are the only ones that tie together. Upcoming for this category: Shattered Barriers, a multichapter what-if fic exploring multiple alternate universes. Kakashi-centric with heavy KakaIru and SasuNaru. Planning stages and rough-draft hard copy. Likelihood of completion: Moderate to High. Yu-Gi-Oh: (7) Home of my longest-running story, Lives to Live. Once completed and fully edited, it will span five years, thirteen chapters, and a whopping fifty thousand words. It's a lot for someone who's better off doing one-shots. I'm a total yaoi-girl, and this cat. proves it. Puzzleshipping (Yami/Yuugi), Puppyshipping (Seto/Jou), and Monstershipping (multiple pairings), are my bread and butter. They come into all stories in this category, from the lightly humorous Make the Yuletide, Wants and Needs, and Under the Moonlight to the angst-ridden, drug-heavy Addiction. Also, (unlike the producers of YGO) I believe in researching and learning about the timeframe and locales in which my stories take place. Therefore, both stories involving Ancient Egypt and attendant terminology, religion, etc., (Lotus and These Games) are as educated and correct as I can make them within the confines of the anime. 'Verses for this category: Lives to Live (particularly once it's finished) mostly creates its own universe, one which disregards later versions of the anime (i.e., GX, 5Ds, etc.) Lotus was actually written as a prequel to L2L, Wants and Needs is a missing S/J sequence from the final chapters, These Games, while set in Ancient Egypt, refferences the preincarnations of the characters, and Under the Moonlight focuses on the Dark Magician and the Celtic Guardian's first meeting in Soguroku's deck. All of them stand on their own just fine. Really, the only stories for YGO that doesn't tie into L2L in some way are Addiction, which was me angsting, and Make the Yuletide, which was me... well, being crack-ish. Upcoming for this category: Epilogue and full overhaul of Lives to Live, DEFINITE. This will happen. Hopefully as soon as I can take more than an hour at a time to write and breathe. Also upcoming, Side Lives, a L2L-offshoot, comprised of a series of loosely related one-shots set predominantly in the Monster Realm. Also, a humor fic in which Joey gets turned into a golden retriever and Damus, Celtos, Cayenne and Lustire are called back to help. Likelihood of completion on those: Moderate. Inuyasha: (1) One of my favorite anime, I have regrettably little in the way of fanfiction for it. The single one-shot I have done, a very brief peek into the mind of Sesshomaru-sama, has gone largely ignored. Whether that is for better or worse, I cannot tell. Upcoming for this category: Nothing in the foreseeable future. Justice League: (6) Ah, early beginnings! This is the category where I got my start. I've left the stories, cringe-worthy as my writing is in some of them, up for posterity and to remind myself not to get cocky. Hawk's Night, Lantern's Light, my first multichapter story, is in sad shape, but I lost so much passion for JL after it became JLU that I don't think I'd be able to rewrite it. My writing style has changed dramatically since those stories - as it well should have done, I was in my teens then! - and unless the universe turns on its ear at some point in the near future, they have been abandoned. I am very sorry to anyone who wanted to see the remaining few chapters of HNLL, but it got absurdly convoluted and degenerated into a peculiar version of Romeo and Juliet, save for the fact everyone lives in the end.
