OKAY let's get one thing right: Loving someone from the same sex. If someone loves someone from the same sex. I'm straight, so what? People who are straight seem to get in other people's business about this ALL THE TIME. They say its wrong, not right, sinful, immoral. Let's get to the point. They hate change. Admit it. You don't want to see two people happily in love and be part of the same sex, because you don't like the change! Change happens all the time and it doesn't stop. I have friends who are bi, or gay, or lesbian. Do I care? No. I look at their character, how they act, not who they want, not how much of the same gender they crave for. Besides don't people say all the time 'there's that special someone out there for you. Somewhere.' It doesn't say someone from the opposite sex, does it? Nope. Doesn't look like it. Or how about this cause I'm pretty sure we've all heard this one 'God created one man and one woman for a reason.' Now. I don't believe in God or anything, but doesn't it say NOT to judge people from what they are? But by how they act? Or by how kind they are? First of all, don't you dare start going 'Oh well she doesn't have a clue to what she's talking about if she isn't Christian.' Cause I have a very think book that most of you seem to not have and it's called 'COMMON SENSE'. Ever heard of it? Sounds hard to believe huh? Well I was raised to not judge people by their sexuality, or by their religion, or by how they look! If I think I understand someone, I'm friends with them for a reason. I can't explain to another friend why I'm friends with someone, because they can't SEE what I can! I have a friend named Twiggz. She's great, understand my love for anime, is someone I enjoy talking to about a million things. But, uh oh, she's lesbian! OH WAIT A MINUTE. IM A GIRL. WELL LOOKS LIKE I LOST A FRIEND. That. Is how you probably would have acted if you were in my shoes. But think about it like this, you don't have a lot of friends, and you have trouble making friends that understand your love for a certain... cartoon or how childish you want to act around them. I have that friend that I can talk to about almost anything or what I think of something, I help her out in the classes she doesn't get and if I cant focus, she helps me, she's there when I need her and vice versa. Sounds like a great friend, right? One you would never ditch for the world. Well that's why I wouldn't bear to leave ANY of my friends because of their sexuality. Now don't start going off like 'Oh I would do that too'. Think about it really hard. You know that person you want to have so badly, but you can't reach? The person you are head over heels for? What if you found out that that person was the same sex? Betrayed? Heart broken? Hurt? Would you still want to be with that person more than a best friend would? would you still go to the ends of the Earth for them? What if the entire world wanted you to stop loving that person just because of your genders being the same? Would you listen? Give in to the crowd? Try and forget that love you yearned for and still do? This is what those people that are hated feel. They feel crushed. Like they are being forced into a life they don't want. Would YOU want to be forced to do something you disliked? Forced to have to ignore your feelings for the same sex because society wants you too? How about putting up those billboards, and realize they aren't being treated like they should. They need to be happy just like everyone else. Why? Because they aren't evil, devils, or anything like that. They are human. Exactly like you and me, don't start getting mad because I classified the bi, gay, and lesbians with you because you know what? This is MY opinion. Not yours. Not theirs. Not anyone's but MINE. If you hate what you just read then go ahead and send me a PM and rant, I don't care. This is my opinion and I'm sticking to it. But if you feel guilty, or on the fence about it, or even if you STILL hate it. Just. Think about it. What would you do in their shoes?
