hey guys, i'm edye. sixteen years old. singer/songwriter. learning to love life despite the comically large amount of obstacles and unfortunate events it's thrown at me. dedicated to recovery.

i love to write. i love to talk. i love the world that's created when you're writing, and how safe you feel as you get to know the characters. i love fanfiction.

a little bit about me outside of writing: i like to read, but i never have the time. i want to be a neuroscientist when i grow up. i have a sarcastic and wry sense of humor that i like to think is delightful. others tend to disagree. i love writing songs and i love singing, even though i'm not very good. aside from the neuroscience aspiration, i obviously want to go into something that allows me to write. maybe publish some young adult novels here and there, you never know. and i love art. i've taken art classes at the museum of fine arts in boston since i was 7. it's got me hooked. i love little kids. i babysit a lot, mainly with the same wonderful family. i have approximately one and a half friends at the moment, which sucks. i love them.

as for likes/dislikes...

i am obsessed with taylor swift. i'm sure that there are more obsessed people out there, but i absolutely adore her. she is my inspiration for everything i've gone through and everything i want to be. she gives me hope. i feel like i know her, like she's some sort of guardian angel/big sister figure in my life. i'll admit, i've watched every youtube video of her out there, i draw pictures of her, the like.

john krasinski. i am in love with him. he is just... watching him has saved me, time and time again, just like listening to taylor. he's not perfect by any means, and i know that, but i love him anyway. the only thing i'm more in love with is him and jenna fischer. don't get me started on how perfect they are together. i accept that they both have spouses. i don't accept that they don't act like they're in love with each other. god, i love them. obviously i also love jim/pam. best. tv couple. ever.

neil patrick harris. he is my life. not really. i do think he's awesome. he's talented, brilliant, witty - everything i wish i could be. which brings me to how i met your mother. that's my current tv show obsession. i sit at home on weekends and watch all the episodes (6 seasons) that are available on netflix. i am a hardcore barney/robin shipper, from the beginning. i haven't gotten around to writing a bro fic, but i plan to at some point. i'm not really obsessed with any of the cast, but i absolutely worship the show. i just want to take the writing brains out of the heads of the people who created it, stick them into my head, and go crazy. himym is legen-waitforit-dary. okay, that was cliche.

i used to be more into glee than i am now. i don't like it so much anymore. i do support both monchele and finchel, and there was certainly a time in which i was fangirling all over the place. i think my favorite actor/actress on the show is dianna agron. she's so sweet and demure and gorgeous and the kind of person you want to have in your life.

i have a mysterious benedict society fic. while i'm not super obsessed, it's kind of like my harry potter obsession - toned down but always there. at any rate, i love trenton lee stewart's writing style/voice, and am positively chuffed when people say mine mirrors his.

to summarize: my otps are john jenna, jam, bro, monchele, finchel, kaynie, hinny, lupin tonks.

my main fandoms are: how i met your mother, the office, mysterious benedict society, harry potter, maximum ride, sister's grimm...it's hard to pick my favorites, but the office, harry potter, glee, and mbs are the only fandoms i've written fix for.
