Author has written 15 stories for Avatar: Last Airbender, Powerpuff Girls, Kung Fu Panda, Home Improvement, Ice Age, and Shrek. Ninety-five percent of teens are concerned about being popular and fitting in. If you are part of the five percent who aren't, then why is this in your profile?
And please try to be somewhat mature in your responses. I'm never rude in my reviews, so there's no reason for anyone to ever insult me or chew my head off just because I didn't bow down and worship your story. ~Updates~ 1/31/10: Chapter 11 of "BtN" is up! ~About the Author~ Name: Jessica Age: 22 Gender: Female D.O.B: November 1st. Location: South Carolina Religion: Atheist (no religion). I was raised Christian, but after observing the world we live in my entire life, learning about many other religions and just looking at all the evidence to the contrary, I realized that I just could no longer say that I believed in any kind of higher power. I saw no reason to believe in such a thing. If that bothers you, then tough titties. I never believe anything without evidence. Until someone can justify a belief in a god, I will proudly stay a non-believer. I have an atheist forum for anyone who is interested. As I’m sure most of you can imagine, my writing sucked horribly. I was fifteen at the time, and I had the typical, “I can write whatever I want and no one has any right to criticize me” attitude that most fanfic writers have when they first get started. It didn’t take me all that long to clean up my act, though. I started realizing how critical honest critique really was, and I eventually started telling writers the same things I was told when I first started. Ironic, I know. I’ve written for various fandoms, such as The Mummy, The Outsiders, and Harry Potter. All stories from these fandoms have been deleted due to suckage. I never really put any real thought into my writing during my first two years. I enjoyed doing it, but I never really took my time with it. Often I could churn out two chapters a day. Now it’s a miracle if I can update a story once a month, as I've become more critical of my writing. I was very careless with my writing and never really planned anything out. I just wrote as I went along. Now I usually complete a large portion of the story before I publish, and I also make sure I have a timeline of the events written down. This helps prevent me from backing myself into a corner, but unfortunately I still tend to lose interest in my stories as I move on to new fandoms, which is why I can't finish a multi-chapter story to save my life. The story I am most proud of at the moment would be “Behind the Name”, which is my latest story. It doesn't quite get as much feedback as I'd like, but that certainly doesn't put a damper on my inspiration. There’s very little about this story I don’t like, and it’s given me a fun opportunity to explore the life of one of my favorite animated characters, Puss In Boots. I certainly hope to get more feedback on it as the story progresses. I’m also pretty proud of “Prisoner” as well, which I have to say has surprised me with how well it has done review-wise. The PPG fandom consists of mostly RRB/PPG fans, and if a story contains anything other than RRB/PPG, it generally doesn’t get a lot of reviews. But I’m surprised with how many positive reviews the story has gotten. Out of the 100+ reviews it has gotten, only about 4 of them were flames. But to be flamed at all just proves that the fandom hasn't quite gotten over its prejudices regarding less popular pairings. The story I am least proud of is “Hearts of Fire” which gets the most feedback lol. It’s my oldest story, so it’s no wonder I don’t care for it anymore. My writing improves through the years, and my writing still wasn’t that great back in 2005. I’m surprised by how far along I got with the story considering I had no real timeline for it and mostly wrote it as I went along. Even though I’m not proud of it anymore, I don’t have any plans to delete it. I’m hoping there will come a point when I’ll finish it. Like so many other people, I enjoy writing about romance probably more than any other genre. Typically, I tend to write about the least-likely pairings, because those are just far more interesting. I also enjoy exploring characters' origins, especially the villains. It's always fun to imagine where they got their start and how they became who they are. ~Other Accounts~ Ranting Community for PPG: I currently run a PPG ranting community on LiveJournal, if anyone is interested in joining. Be advised though, it probably wouldn't be wise to join if you're a RRB/PPG fan...because that tends to be the subject matter on a lot of rants. But if you're sick of the PPG fandom going down the shitter, then please join and share your frustration! We rant about everything from close-minded authors to horribly-written stories. Why? Because everyone needs a place to go to let off steam. http://community.livejournal.com/ppg_rants/ AIM: dracori1987 ~Fanart~ Below are links to fanart for my stories, which were done by other artists. If you'd like to do any artwork for my stories then go ahead! You don't have to ask. Just make sure you give me a link so I may add them to the list :) Please, I encourage people to do fanart! I would really love to see my stories be produced into actual artwork! Hardly ever do I receive fanart for my stories, and whenever I do it always makes my day, so I would greatly appreciate it. If you don't have a deviantART account, you can upload it to an image hosting site, like Photobucket, if you have one.
