Author has written 7 stories for Legend of Zelda. My stories: I think, aside from War of the Fairies, all my stories work as stand alones. My personal favourite is Rebel Assassin. If you just want to read one, then that's what you should go for. For the full experience, though - and if you want to follow the loose thread that knits all the stories together - you should go like this: The Apprentice, Rebel Assassin, Shadow Lord's Bane, War of the Fairies, Legend Redux. Or you could do this: get all dramatic and read The Apprentice & Rebel Assassin together or, if you're in a lighthearted mood, read Shadow Lord's Bane & War of the Fairies together. Legend Redux can be read alone, though if you are familiar with all the previous stories, it does help! Storm Star is a dark fantasy set in the Ocarina of Time world and not connected to any of my other stories.
