A drabble means a little fic just 100 words long. It's a Valid Art Form. The challenge is to write a story with something of an arch - a beginning, a middle, and an end - in such a confined space. Or just give a poignant moment out of the character's lives, or tell a joke. So please stop asking me why my drabbles are so short!

General fandom opinions, and a note
Slash & femslash are yay, and so are het pairings when they're cool het pairings. Some Mary Sue fic is actually really good, and some Mary Sues are really great characters, but yeah, most of them are awful. I try not to write any. Obscure pairings can also be a lot of fun.

A lot of my fic can be kind of wtf, as in, why would I write something like this? Why would I pick such an unlikely pairing? One answer is challenges - the other is I just wanted to give it a shot, or it's hawt. They're also short, because that just seems to come naturally.

Fandoms and opinions thereof

The Aubreyad
I'm not sure how much I'll write in this fandom, but it's the gf's main fandom and so I'm happy to pledge allegiance. Favourite character Stephen Maturin, Jack's a dear, Sophie needs to find her clitoris. I've been known to play apologist for Diana.

Discworld
Favourite book Monstrous Regiment, but favourite character Granny Weatherwax, followed by Vimes and Vetinari in a shared position. Also have enormous reserves of affection for many other characters. Will slash indiscriminately, but the OTPs are Polly/Mal and Vimes/Sybil.

Harry Potter
Fairly indifferent to this fandom, but I do read and watch and occasionally write/draw. I have no OTPs in this fandom but dislike James and Sirius, because I find it hard to forgive bullies who torture for a laugh. It's somehow easier to forgive Snape, who was working out issues, at least. It's still not right - but it's forgivable.

Lord of the Rings
Favourite character Sam, OTP Sam/Rosie (I'm not opposed to Sam/Frodo, but am opposed to Rosie-bashing). Elves meh, but fun when paired with dwarfs (that way or just generally). Hobbits rock. My ideas of what family tree characters like Estella Bolger come from are heavily influenced by Ruby Nye & Dana's fiction and Mary B's Pretty Good Year.

Other opinions
Any woman who is not a feminist is a fool, any feminist who hates men on principle is missing the point, any one who uses feminazi as an insult is revealing his or her ignorance. I'm all for soft values like liberty, peace and human rights. Also education. Education, quality education, is pretty important, as is reading enough books.
