update: 6/25/09

sigh

Well guys, it has happened again. Just when I was getting underway, laying traps for the plot bunnies and actually catching a few, I stumbled into yet another fandom...actually...make that three;_; ehe...This has, of course, slowed me down AGAIN. I will say that chapter 4 of Shadows is being worked on (I have five paragraphs!! woohooo! and before you decide to beat me with shoes because it seems like a small amount, I must point out that between work, school, and of course my utter lack of control in holding my attention to anything longer than a few days, this is actually quite impressive...in fact, you should throw confetti and have a few drinks because this never happens!) I promise you all that it will be updated eventually...I just refuse to work on a story unless I am completely immersed in that fandom as it is the only way to ensure my work is as good as it can be. I refuse to half ass anything because it is not fair to you wonderful readers and to be honest it is not fair to me as I know I can do better. So with that said, please stick with me. And feel free to drop me a line. Sometimes a kick in the pants is exactly what I need to get started again, and you know, I could always use some input and ideas!

Story statuses:

Unwanted Destiny: I will tell y'all right now that Unwanted Destiny will probably not be updated. Mostly for lack of inspiration, but I'll be honest with you all, I kinda lost track of where I was going with it in the first place. I've realized now that it was actually more of an explosion of ideas that had never before been written down, and little else. Much too complicated and gigantic than I could actually deal with...and the -ehem- so called "last episode" of Inuyasha did NOTHING for me...so yeah...though there is always a possibility of slivers of inspiration and various plot bunnies coming together and prodding me with sticks, do not get your hopes up, for if it does happen it is far far FAR into the future.

Shadows: I've actually fallen in love with this story all over again. Chapter 3 is done and uploaded, and I've even started stringing together a basic plotline, all thanks to the wonderful Smilingcheerios who is such a good friend as to listen to me ramble about nothing at all and try to pick and choose and sometimes add some ideas that will work for the story. Now...so long as the story its self doesn't take on a life of its on and go walking off into the sunset, I think we're good to go.

Also, due to various literature and some very good movies, I have fallen in love with the vampire myth. This will most likely influence many of my stories, Shadows in particular, but I promise it won't take away the true tone from the genre, so I hope everyone will keep an open mind and read the story before they judge it. Even if the idea strikes you as strange, you may be pleasantly surprised when you realize you actually enjoy it. I speak from experience. I felt I should warn you however, as I do not want flames simply because you don't like the idea, as I have enjoyed plotting it out and really wanted to do something that's sort of nontraditional.

--As another hint, reviews really do make the world go round, so if you are as I like to call a "silent reader" and are aggravated by a very very delayed update, get in touch with me. Do not become a badgerer, but a simple nudge or slightly constant prodding will often get you more than you may realize, as I tend to slip away from my stories if I feel there is little interest in them. Now, though work and school, and life in general are the major factors at the lack of updating, they do not deserve the blunt of my blame alone...in all actuality, the majority of the blame goes to my fidgety mind. For some reason I am finding it even more difficult than before to stick to one specific category, and as with my taste in music, the fandoms that I enjoy are CONSTANTLY changing...almost at blinking speeds these days -cough- ADD -cough-.. So bear with me, I will dedicate any free time in which I am not sleeping to trying to concentrate on one fandom, and therefore one STORY at a time...but sometimes you just need a change :)
