I like Jane Austen, Georgette Heyer, Patrick O'Brian, JRR Tolkien (gosh, really?), Anne Rice, Chelsea Quinn Yarbro, Connie Willis, and George MacDonald Fraser, just to name a few. I also really like non-fiction, especially social history or history of science.
