Author has written 40 stories for Stargate: SG-1, Sentinel, Due South, Numb3rs, Supernatural, Torchwood, NCIS, and Emergency. Was a fan of the cable series Stargate Sg-1. Started writing fanfic after discovering the internet around...Oct. 1998, but hadn't really gotten the guts to post until a year later.: ) Started up a site for it, called StargateFan at http://stargatefan.com and also developing a fanzine site called Pyramids Press at http://www.pyramidspress.com. It was fun writing and meeting writers in the SG-1 fandom with such talent. It was very inspiring. If you ever check out some of the SG sites and archives out there like AG and Helio, you have some classic smarm and h/c fics there worth checking out. Will always be loyal to the SG fandom. They introduced me to fanfic, to the world of fandom, to the rich community of fans. Sure, there were some..."characters" in the fandom, but my best friend and I met up due to this fandom as well so that cancels all the bad stuff out. There are some amazing, generous souls out there brighter than the Stargate and the universe itself. I find myself extremely lucky to have know them. Fanfic's a great place to start and good practice on your writing skills. And no, never be afraid to take a little constructive criticism. Many of the best writers I know (fan or pro) learn from their mistakes, do not attack those brave enough to offer kind advice, and grow from the lessons. I hope someday to be like that some day. So, yeah, feedback is great (who doesn't like it) but don't be afraid to point out mistakes as well. There's no such thing as a perfect writer! Well...except for Jane Austen, that is. LOL! -- Life sidetracked me so basically on a holding pattern. Trying to land. Everyone's been helping so I'll be back. Relearning to do a lot of things, but it won't deter me from my friends, fansite, and fanfic. You guys out there with your support, your cards, just simply being you, has helped me those months in the hospital and now during my physical therapy. SG fans, you guys are awesome! -- Still writing. Still home, but I've graduated from chair only to sometimes a cane. I haven't givem up yet. Sadly, it means you won't be able to shut me up either! LOL! -- It's been officially two years and a month since my brain surgery. I'm doing fine, guys. Thank you all the postcards and encouragement you still send me. I'm still doing PT, still trying to go from wheelchair to cane, later someday to no cane. But I feel good. Better yet, I feel so blessed. I'll get there yet. And yes...still writing. :) | |||||||||
