What is a bio...?
Nah, just kidding- it's a type of pen, isn't it?

Anyways, my favourite show in the world ever is Recess (hence my pen name), and despite the fact that I have about thirty fan fictions somewhat written, I have apparently succumbed to the age old fan fiction disease of lazywriteritis. Now, I’m not a quitter. I’ve got a full-length Recess fan fiction going at the moment that I’ve been working on for a few years, and there is no WAY that I’m just going to leave it unfinished. I hate it when fan fictioners do that. But it’s just that I am rather- no, VERY slow with the creative process. I guess you can call me a perfectionist. Anyway, enough about me… let’s talk about me

The Origin of my pen name: A couple of people have asked me this, so I thought I'd better explain.
In the episode of Recess 'Lawson and his crew', when the kids are off moping and Mikey is trying desperately to cheer them up, he says "...we pull pranks because we're goofy monkey children..." and also, countless numbers of times T.J. has been called a "crazy monkey boy"...come to think of it- I don't even like monkeys- just Recess quotes, but I thought 'goofy Recess quote child' didn't really have the same ring to it...

Fave book: (with exception of the Bible) ‘The Outsiders’ by S.E. Hinton. It’s just one of those books that I still enjoy so much every time I read it. Every character is enjoyable. Random quotes throughout the book are poetic gems- one I remember strongly is: “I fell asleep in a hoodlum’s jacket with a gun lying next to my hand”. The rhythm just works. Mwa. Read it if you get the chance. It’s also written by a seventeen-year-old girl.

Fave poet: Oscar Wilde...oh man, his poems and maxims ROCK! Check them out sometime. Some suggestions might be: 'Requiscat', ‘Chanson’, ‘Theoretikos’, ‘La Bella Donna Della Mia Mente’, among many, many others. His essays, letters and ‘intentions’ are great too- they’re a great work out for your brain, but they’ve got some great ideas if you’re willing to take the time to understand their meanings.

Fave artist: Rene Magritte. He rocks, along with Salvador Dali and Jeffrey Smart. My fave paintings include 'Hereafter', 'Homesickness' and 'Personal Values'. If ever you do an art essay on symbolism in a Surrealist artist’s work, then Magritte is your guy. His paintings are filled with a plethora of meaningful layers, particularly themes of life and death, the meaningfulness of life versus emptiness, and the unbearable search for answers which are in view, but just out of reach.

Anyway...uhh, yeah, I guess that's it...

And now a message from the Department of Redundancy Department...
