Author has written 29 stories for Harry Potter, Twilight, and Gossip Girl.

random fanfiction fact: when I get a notification that I have a new review I immediately start getting anxious that it's a bad one, my second reaction is to start drafting a response to the negative comment. Despite this, I've never actually received something I would consider a flame. (I have received trolling, which is kind of hilarious.)

As I've mentioned elsewhere my love for Twilight is diminishing for a variety of reasons.

1. As I have matured in the past three or so years from starting Twilight I've thought a little more carefully over the characters and relationships in books. Over plot, character is always more important for me. At 16, the love Edward and Bella have for each other seem very romantic. At 19, I'm very certain that I would never want that as I would never want my emotional/mental/physical well-being dependent on another person. Before a healthy relationship can be started and sustained, I must be whole within myself. (This is where my screen name comes in.)

2. The maturity level of some of the fans has gotten to me. I'm not talking about the 13-year-olds, I expect the excitement and extreme-enthusiasm out of them. I was 13 once, too, and a very avid Harry Potter fan during that time. I'm talking about the older fans, the adult fans. Seeing (well, reading) adults pining over fictitious characters in ways that they are makes me a little uneasy. I do not want to be associated with people that act in this way.

I think that the Twilight series is a decent love story if you want to just read it and not analyze it. If you take Twilight at face value it is a fine story, with some Romeo and Juliet-esque love. But if you are a 'mature' adult and cannot sit down and discuss the realities of the book... I'm not sure I'm okay with that. If you are going to tell me that Bella is a great character to look up to and that she is treated wonderfully by everyone in the book, I'm not okay with that either.

Yeah, realities for vampire fiction. I believe that the relationships in a book should be able to be talked about when taking the supernatural out of it.

3. The franchise. I loved when this was a small community and while everyone didn't know everyone and there was a definite social caste going on, it was still small and wonderful. While I was never anti-Twilight movie, I never wanted it to turn into the franchise that it has become. It added to my decision in stepping away from the community. The franchise has made it seem to people who have not read the book that it is geared towards younger teens, which I don't think is the case. I'm against censorship so if an 11-year-old wants to read it, go right ahead, but in no way do I believe that this is the book for them or even an appropriate book for them. Go read some Amelia Atwater-Rhodes and then move on to Twilight.

/exhale

Does this mean I will stop writing Twilight? Most likely not. I have two stories to complete on here, two short stories on my hard drive, two all-human stories in the notes stage and one cross-over fic that still needs some major plotting. So, certainly not. After I finish my canon stories I will probably move on to all-human stories, but other than that I will continue writing for Twilight for the foreseeable future.

love:(tv) True Blood, Gossip Girl, House, Bones, The Beautiful Life, Law & Order: SVU. (music) The Pierces, Panic! At The Disco, Holly Brook, Sara Barielles, Taylor Swift, Ludo, Soho Dolls.

I'm rather particular about my penname. It's not done baking. Not undercooked or whatever other synonym you can think of.

Buffy: “OK, I'm cookie dough. I'm not done baking. I'm not finished becoming whoever the hell it is I'm gonna turn out to be. Maybe one day I turn around and realize I'm ready. I'm cookies. And then, you know, if I want someone to eat... or, enjoy warm, delicious cookie me, then... that's fine. That'll be then. When I'm done.” (Chosen, Season 7)

Books. Books. Books.

My list of favorite books became too long, so I resorted to a different method.

~Fives Books You Should at Least Try to Read in No Particular Order~

a. The Kin of Ata Are Waiting For You by Dorothy Bryant
b. This is All by Aidan Chambers (suggested ages 16+)
c. The Giver by Lois Lowery
d. 13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher
e. The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold

~Best Blank Stories~

Best Romance: Two Way Street by Lauren Barnholdt
Best Growing-Up: Stealing Heaven OR Lost It by Elizabeth Scott
Best Children's: The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster
Best Horror: Project 17 by Laurie Faria Stolarz
Best Mystery: The Adoration of Jenna Fox by Mary E. Pearson
Best Vampire: Sunshine by Robin McKinely OR Vamped by David Sosnowski (both suggested ages 16+)
Best Futuristic: The Uglies Trilogy by Scott Westerfeld
Best Action: Maximum Ride by James Patterson
Best Dram-Com: An Abundance of Katherine's by John Green
Best Series: The Mediator Series by Meg Cabot/Jenny Carroll or Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead
Best Fantasy: Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr (warning: part of a series)

Why the warnings? Because I hate buying series before realizing that they are series. I try and do my best to stay out of them in order to save money.
Why the suggested reading ages? Because I don't want to be responsible for de-virginizing your minds. I'll leave that to other people.
