I think my favorite part of the whole 'review' process is all the compliments on my grammar, because it really isn't all that good. As I've told others, 'spellcheck' is my friend. And yours. I stand in the crowds, wanting nothing more than a regular life. I am...a 'minor' character. Why I support the idea of OCs in HP: The HP universe is a vast, scary place full of all sorts of people. Many of them we know or have at least been made aware of. Some we know quite well and others make us run for our books, wondering who the author is talking about. And, while it is fun to read a story about our favorite characters, it's not realistic to ONLY have our favorite characters from the books/movies. There are other characters in the world, trust me, that we are not aware of. The whole point of OCs is to make us AWARE of these other characters we didn't know existed. I think OCs are a natural thing and people should support them, because most OCs are only minor chracters who exist for the purpose of moving the story along, or explaining something in-story. Unless you turn them into a Mary-Sue. That's just you abusing your privilege. Taylor, you were one of the best friends I had. You were mean and sarcastic and called me way too many times at three in the morning. But you were honest with me and you always told me how you felt. I have never had a friend like you before, and I will never be able to find another like you. As I write this, I struggle to get it through my head that you will never call me again. You will never tease me or ride the bus with me. You will never complain about Jon and you will never say 'good morning'. I do not know why you made the choice you did, only that you made it far too soon. You were 14, Taylor! 14. That is far too young to die, and you knew that. But, the world was heavy for you, heavier than I could ever imagine. I know you are in a safer, better place now-far from the pain of this world. And, despite everything, I can not blame you.
