Notice: If you spot any typos in any work, please PM me with the sentence so I can find it and fix it, now that I've figured out how to do it on FFnet! Special props to eatenbydragons for help in this area.

Bannon & Zevran is a large (to be) body of work based on and inspired by Bioware's Dragon Age games and world. It is simultaneously published on my Dragon Age Blog (http://bloodsong13t.wordpress.com/) and in a forum format (http://bldsong.net/dabz/). Feel free to use whichever venue is most comfortable for you to read. Tip: The Forum has the most fun stuff ;)

Rating: This story is rated M for violence, language, adult situations, and sexuality. It contains bisexualty and homoeroticism. It is not explicit. Each section contains its own warnings, if you like parts but want to skip others.

Canon Warning: In places I diverge from the game info, from the wiki, and from everything else. In places I use MUC (Made Up Crap). Yes, I do that on purpose!

Dragon Age: Bannon & Zevran

Book I: Origins

Bannon is a small-time thief and conman (and part-time carpenter) in the alienage of Denerim. Who decided he should be the hero who saves the world? Well, he sorta got stuck with that. Zevran is an assassin hired to kill him, but things don't always go according to plan. The two rogues fall into cahoots to take on the stinking shems of the world. And then something unexpected happens to their relationship. Mostly disaster.

--Prelude

Bannon faces a fate worse than death: marriage. If that weren't bad enough, he becomes a murderer, then gets conscripted into the Grey Wardens -- two things just about guaranteed to result in death.

--Chapter 1: The Grey Wardens

Bannon takes on the mental and physical challenges of becoming a Grey Warden. The scrappy elf manages to survive where others perish, only to face the Wilds under the tutelage of a very harsh mistress. Back at civilization, things are breaking down and disaster is being blamed on the Grey Wardens. Using his brains, his charm, and full on luck, he starts recruiting his own little army, starting with an evil witch, a lunatic nun, and a giant.

--Chapter 2: A Wolf in the Fold

The enemies of the Grey Wardens send an assassin on their trail, the Antivan Crow Zevran Arainai. Determined to slay the legendary Grey Wardens or die trying, he manages neither. Instead he turns on his charm and wheedles his way into their midst, claiming to have changed sides. Can he be trusted?

--Chapter 3: Partners in Crime

Bannon and Zevran become fast friends, doubly annoying to their four human and one qunari companions. The two rogues take on all comers, dealing with problems in their own hard-edged, irreverant way.

--Chapter 4: Friends and Lovers

Zevran has been chasing Bannon's tail for months. What if Bannon finally gives in? Will their relationship expand into something else altogether? Or will it crash and burn into a twisted wreckage?

--Chapter 5: Endgames

Time is running out for Ferelden; the chesspieces are arrayed upon the board. Can Bannon's conniving compete with political maneuvering? More to the point, can he save his own *@$ in the upcoming final battle? Hey, priorities here!
