Author has written 14 stories for Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, Fire Emblem, and Legend of Zelda. Greetings! My name is Mage, and I'll be your guide to tonight's tour of my Realm of Insanity! So, what to say about me? I'm Mage. I enjoy well-written stories and dislike ones that make excessive use of Deus Ex Machina. I've been off of FanFiction for about three years to refine my writing style, and think that I'm finally comfortable enough with my work to start posting it again. I enjoy reading anything from a category whose universe I'm familiar with (and even some that I'm not). Of those I'm familiar with, there are too many to comfortably list. I'm pretty open with my reading choices, and don't particularly look for specific pairings when reading. I'm more conservative about my writing choices - with those, I tend to stick as close to canon as possible. I write fluff, serious stuff, crack, and everything in-between, depending on my mood. Reviews are always appreciated, even if it's nothing more than 'I liked this!' After writing informally for so long, criticism so I can make my work better is also appreciated. I've kept a few of my old stories up, but I don't intend to do anything with or improve them. They're more there to remind me of how I used to write. Plot Bunnies up for Adoption! One of my greatest faults is coming up with ideas that I can't flesh out properly. From here on out, all ideas that I have that I don't have the time/inclination to write but want written will be on my LiveJournal, under the tag 'Bunny Adoption'. If you decide to use one of them, please drop a comment so I can read what you come up with! Completed: I have finished my Pokemon Special character series. I am sorry if you wanted more, but I don't think that I can write Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Diamond, Pearl, or Lady Berlitz well enough to justify one-shots for them, especially not at the quality the first seven were written with. Depending on whether or not I ever get inspired, I will write more Pokemon Special/Adventure/'Whatever you want to call it' stories in the future. If you have suggestions for them, feel free to leave a review on one of my existing Pokemon stories. Also, the little Zelda one-shot is not going to be a part of any series. I just miss reading about Dark Link - I rarely dwell in the Zelda fanfiction anymore. 'Passports, Please?' was a one-time bonus for 'To Lands Still Unknown'. Come up with anything you want to fill the part in-between the second-to-last and last parts. Current: My Fire Emblem Fanfic is now up and running! Under the label of 'To Lands Still Unknown', it is the story of Fire Emblem 7, and currently focuses on the tactician and Lyn. So far, the plot bunny is telling me to keep it that way, even during Eliwood and Hector's stories. If it works out the way I want it to, I'll even use up all of my prompts by the time that the story's over! Any random story information and all review responses are posted on my LiveJournal, to keep me from writing Author's Notes that are longer than the actual chapters. Coming up next: I have no real plans for the future. If anyone wants to give me some, I'll take them, but for now, I'm focusing on my current project. I will always take suggestions for what to write, although I may not use all of them. Please be assured that every single bit of input I get on something is considered before I continue/begin work. So, hi. Welcome to Mage's Realm of Insanity. Please check your coats at the door. Update as of May 17, 2009: I'm sorry, guys. Really, I am. But 'To Lands Still Unknown' is officially on hiatus. I've been writing Pokemon Special fanfiction lately, and I sat down the other day to start this back up, and couldn't write anything. I've just lost my inspiration. I might update sporadically here and there, when I get a burst of inspiration, but don't hold your breath. | |||||||||
