Hi guys! I'm HeavyMetalFan1997, otherwise known as Scott. As you can tell from my title I love heavy metal music (my favourite band is Blind Guardian), but if I enjoy a song or artist, I will listen to them regardless of genre or reputation. I am also a hardcore gamer, and love my Playstation 3 very very much - so much, I named him Claude. Yes, Claude. I particularly enjoy games like Brutal Legend, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Ratchet and Clank (I give all games in that series 10/10, they're perfect!) and the games in the Call of Duty series - my favourite being Modern Warfare 3, with the Nazi Zombies mode for Black Ops (and Black Ops 2, which I'm proud to say I pre-ordered) tied for first place - I liken myself to Dr Richtofen; camp, sadistic and very very funny. If you own a PS3 and are interested in playing a game or two, my PSN name is BLINDguardian756; though if you see me playing a game like Skyrim, Fallout 3 or Batman: Arkham City please don't send a game invite, because when I play games like that I like to really get hardcore about them (Skyrim was host to my longest gaming session ever, 14 and a half hours), and focus. Though when I'm on any of my Call of Duty games, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, Little Big Planet 1 & 2 , Dead Rising 2 - and Off the Record - or Dead Island feel free to send an invite, we could have a really fun game. I also do a little bit of Warhammer 40,000, and collect Dark Eldar; hit me up for advice on Warhammer as well if you so wish.

In terms of my love of literature, the first book I really loved was Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, and as such the Harry Potter books hold a special place in my heart as do the fanfics I read. My favourite characters are Fred and George, because they are delightfully insane and always good for a big belly laugh or two, and Luna, because she's a sweetly odd and whimsical girl who has a unique look on life, and I can identify with her in many ways. I give special mentions to Hermione (I named one of my guinea pigs after her), Dobby, Sirius, Severus, Neville and Harry himself. My favourite pairing, in case you haven't seen my avatar, is Harry/Luna. I think Harry's very grounded and down to earth personality works well with Luna's free spirit. I also really like Hermione/Ron fics, because I've always thought they fit each other like a glove. Back to the topic, I love many other books aside from Harry Potter, such as The Shining by Stephen King, Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter by Seth Graheme-Smith to name my top favourites at the moment. On the opposite end of the spectrum, I detest The Hunger Games, Twilight and 50 Shades of Grey - give me all the hate and flames you want about that, it won't change my opinion.

I don't watch a lot of TV, but when I do, I watch mostly old comedy (my favourite programme of all time is Red Dwarf) and documentaries, though if a programme takes my fancy, I will watch it; which is why I enjoy everything from Doctor Who, The Big Bang Theory and Fraiser, to Man vs Food, Torchwood and Beavis & Butthead. I don't pay much attention to TV though, so don't expect me to be a human encyclopaedia on freaking Jersey Shore or The Only Way is Essex.

I'm a total movie buff, and really geek out over (for obvious reasons) the Harry Potter movies, Star Wars, the Blade movies and anything to do with George Romero; AKA the Zombie King. I watch mainly zombie horrors, gross out and stoner comedies (I dare you not to laugh at Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back or Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay). MY favourite movie of all time is Snatch, it's just the perfect marriage of British gangland violence and uproarious comedy; this is closely followed by Of Mice and Men, Shaun of the Dead, Van Helsing and the Warriors. I watch a lot more movies as well, but I really cannot remember all of the DVDs I own, so PM me if you're actually interested in a 15-year old's DVD collection.

Some miscellaneous facts about me and my life before the end: I have an autism spectrum disorder called Asperger Syndrome. I am an atheist, though I will never try to change someone's beliefs, because it isn't my business. I play the guitar and have done for the past 4 years. I'm an avid CD, cassette tape and vinyl record collector - my prized possessions are first print LPs of Live After Death by Iron Maiden, Oxygene by Jean Michel Jarre and Tubular Bells by Mike Oldfield. My hair is nice and long and down to my shoulders and blonde and other random stuff. And, I idolise Stephen Fry.

Ooh, ooh, ooh! I also have a fanfiction out, about the video game Brutal Legend, which sadly I won't update regularly. I will probably write more when I'm more confident of my ability as a writer (but I do have over 8 chapters saved up, which I WILL eventually upload, I promise).
