Author has written 8 stories for North and South, Pride and Prejudice, and Harry Potter.

Hello there! Thank you for visiting my profile! :-)

I am fluent in a couple of languages and I'm able to read a couple more. I speak mostly in Spanish and I read and write mostly in English. Is that weird? I think so. Neska polita is in Basque, it means "(a/the) pretty girl" and it honors my daughter. You can see her little foot in my profile picture.

I've been wanting to write for a long time but inspiration never struck. In that regard, I think writing fan fiction is literature's "paint by numbers". It's fun, great writing practice and the results may look pretty, but I'm not sure how valuable it actually is. But if it's good to pass the time, I'm not one pass judgment!

As for other people's stories, I edit my selection of "Favorites" often. I don't mind adding stories that aren't finished (I'm keen on style and originality), but if they fizzle and the end disappoints me then I take them off my list. I hope nobody's offended because of that.

I'm not registered as a beta reader and I profoundly dislike unsolicited advice or less than brilliant comments, but I routinely read a lot for my friends and my criticism seems to be welcome. If you want me to give you a truly honest opinion on your writing, with the rough and the smooth, just say the word. Spanish and English are my strongest suits, and I also can give French a go (after all I passed both DALF and DHLF, didn't I?) If your purpose is to improve your writing by receiving constructive criticism, I'll be glad to give you a hand.

So far I've helped with the very sensuous Touch by fia-blue (currently down, but I hope we'll be able to read it again soon), and the totally hilarious What Happens in Vegas by Saelia. I'm also giving someone else a hand with their story ideas but it's still in the works. In turn, I've been graciously helped by TheBlackSister, fia-blue and LotsOfLaundry though the format of beta reading doesn't really work for me when I'm the author.

If you've left a comment or selected one of my stories as a favorite, I've probably sent you a message thanking you for that. It's not automated, it's me... I'm wordy and chatty just like that.

A literary satire, where characters discuss reading and writing rather than social customs or feelings. Supposedly funny. Sort of HEA. Regency, but not really. Rated T because that's how I do it.

¿Qué hubiera ocurrido si hubiera visto a Margaret entonces?
