Views on Harry Potter When I first began to read the series in 1998, I was immediately a Harry/Hermione shipper. By the time Order of the Phoenix was released, I liked both Harry/Hermione and Harry/Ginny. When Half-Blood Prince came out, it totally crushed my desire to have Harry/Ginny, mainly because of the way it is portrayed in the book, so now I am back to shipping only Harry/Hermione. I realized when I read that book, that the only way Harry/Ginny could reasonably occur was if the character of Hermione was completely ruined, which was exactly what occured in HBP. I dislike the sixth book very much. In fact, I came close to regarding it as non-canon, even though JK Rowling wrote it(it seemed mroe like fanfiction than canon). Every main character with the exception of Ron were very out-of-character, especially Harry and Hermione. I will admit I have seen some convincing essays on Portkey forums that point out several obvious HMS Harmony hints, but I was very disappointed with the portrayal of Harry and Hermione, and the views on love shown by the book (i.e. fighting and putting each other down and insulting each other is a good relationship, and that hero worship and lust gets rewarded if you pine away long enough). Even worse, is the book portrays Harry as a wimp, and sets up the seventh book to be little more than a glorified treasure hunt, which will likely end in Harry's death when he finally battles Voldemort because of his inexperience and lack of training. Because of my dislike of the book, any Harry Potter fanfiction I write will be alternate sixth year, post-Hogwarts, or an alternate universe altogether, keeping only loosely to the main events of the books.

Anyone reading my fanfiction will find that I have a strong dislike toward Ron. In fact, I almost hate his character, and have felt this way since the first book. He is a very jealous person, especially in the Goblet of Fire, who hates all of the fame that Harry gets without considering that if Harry really had a choice, he would want to have the life that Ron has and takes for granted, with a family that loves him, and without all of the fame. He is also very mean and spiteful to Hermione. In every book, he has made Hermione cry or become very upset at least once, and has often made fun of her personality and physical traits and mannerisms (really charming way of showing someone you fancy them). Besides the way he treats Harry and Hermione, he also has a narrow, and almost condescending view of Muggles and the Muggle world in general. Any fanfiction I write will either have him end or lessen his friendship with Harry and Hermione, or, in the case of Alternate Universe, he will never have been befriended by them, and likely be an antagonist. If I pair him with anyone it will be someone like Lavender Brown. I like Independent! Dark! Kickass! and Super! Harry stories and any story with Ron-bashing. I tolerate any views of Dumbledore from Grandfatherly to Evil, but I prefer those that view him in the range between a slightly manipulative Dumbledore who is trying his best to help Harry in his own way to the sort of manipulative fame-hungry Dumbledore such as the one in "Lies, Deceit, and Obliviate" here on ff.net.

My Stories Current Works Harry Potter: The Silent Halls of Hogwarts - My first attempt at Harry Potter fanfiction. It is very AU. Harry is severely abused by the Dursleys and abandoned by the time he turns six. When he is finally found, having lived on the streets of London after being abandoned, in what would be his Third Year, he must catch up with all of the students, as well as cope with a disability. I have always thought that Ron and Hermione would never be friends if not for both of them being friends for Harry, and this story shows what I think would happen without Harry there the first few years. It is predominately Harry/Hermione, with various other romances. The person I place with Sirius will be unique, and the one I place Remus with will be unconventional (in fact I've never seen a story with it before). While I prefer Luna/Harry/Hermione or Luna/Neville, I chose to go an unconventionl route with her also. You will see the start of the romance for Remus, Sirius, and Luna when the story gets to Fourth and Fifth year. I plan for it to cover mainly Third through Seventh year, with an Epilogue covering Post-Hogwarts. WARNINGS: will contain graphic abuse, implied rape (incest), and some brutal fight scenes, as well as possible Lime with Harry/Hermione.

Future Works Alternate sixth year Harry with possible Azkaban, manipulative Dumbledore, and kickass!fighter!Independent!Harry. Possible time-travel fic. Different than most in that it will be Hermione and not Harry that travels back in time to change things.

Possible one-shots: Betrayal fic- History almost repeats itself with Ron becoming a Secret Keeper for Harry and Hermione and then betraying them to get back at Harry for "stealing" Hermione from him.

Because I am in college, I have very little time to write, so SHOH will go slowly, with probably only one or two chapters every three or four weeks. Once I finally complete it, I will probably work on some one-shots before starting the alternate sixth-year or the time-travel fic which will probably equal SHOH in length.
