Author has written 2 stories for Lord of the Rings. Salutations to all Middle-Earth dwellers! Like everyone else here, I'm fascinated by Tolkien. All my life, all I ever wanted to be was a writer (and, what do you know? That's what I am.) Favorite LOTR characters? Hmmmmm. Most definitely Legolas (for his sad, searching-never-find-exactly-what-he-wants soul). Haldir (because he has the guts to not allow the Fellowship into Lothlorien..initially...even though Galadriel clearly wants to meet with them.) Sam G. (because without him, Frodo would never make it). I'm also partial to Gandalf, because he's somewhat of a mystery to me....at first glance, he seems to be a normal, everyday fellow trying to aid in the salvation of Middle-Earth, but just occasionally, one gets a glimpse into the depth of his wisdom and power. But first and foremost I like Legolas...it's also fortunate that he's probably the only one without much of a past, so it's easier to make up a history for him. My own story attempts to bring his character up to where he begins at the fellowship...it encompasses both both and movie aspects. BTW- I thought Peter Jackson and Orlando Bloom's idea of how Legolas should look and behave was right on the money. So, read and enjoy everyone! | |||||
