I like to pretend that there is a long, good story behind that. There isn't. Freshman year field hockey, everyone decided i ran like a penguin. The name stuck, even after I learned how to run like a human being. Oh well, I like it. It's unique. In a weird, mocking, kind of way. "I'm selfish, impatient, & a little insecure. I make mistakes. I'm out of control, and at times, hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, I'm a creative writing major at the community college in my area, soon to be transferring to the New York Film Academy to study screenwriting. I want to write for television. I want to enter a whole different world with characters and history, and make that world my own. More specifically, I want to write for soaps. God, anything and everything can happen in a soap. It's pretty damn awesome. "And, because she couldn't find her place in this world, she created one for herself, through her writing. A place where the things she wanted the most were possible, Sometimes I think I may be borderline schizophrenic. I get lost in my thoughts a lot. I create a lot of different worlds with a lot of different characters. I know they aren't real; I create them to put into stories. But to me, they feel real. Writing is a socially acceptable form of schizophrenia. I feel like God, creating life. And I spend a lot of time thinking about these characters and worlds before I write them down. If that makes me crazy, so be it. It's not like I talk out loud to them or anything. "But I don't want comfort. I want god, I want poetry, I want real danger, I want freedom, I want goodness.
