I am *still* the same author, just decided it twas time for a change whereas my pen is concerned.-. There's a lot of sapphires out there, so thought I'd aim for something a bit more unique that also carries more significance to me personally. 12/17/12: Note... I am not dead (yet!) and do plan on uploading some more fanfiction here in the coming months... AOLIM: sapphire178 (PM me for alternate names to which I am more likely to be found using in IM programs these days, lol.) About me... Neh, there isn't much to say about me. I'm pretty weird/nutty, as everyone probably knows. I got into fanfiction 14 years ago, started writing it 11 years ago. I mostly like to write humor & crackfic, I suppose, though I do delve into angst & darkfic when the mood strikes. I like any and all genres, really. Sometimes I wonder if I will ever take the permanent hiatus from fandom, but it seems like no matter how long I stay away from it, it only takes one good dose of a video game, anime, manga, movie, comic, or television show to get me right back into it. I also do think a lot of the stuff I've written fanfiction-wise is extremely weird, extremely scary, or extremely over-the-top cracky. I have a... really messed-up sense of humor. Sometimes, I will look back on something I wrote months or years ago and think it's too weird and/or scary and hence take it down. Some of the older stuff I wrote during my mid teen years is pretty bad, but I keep it up for old time's sake. Also, I'm not partial to a lot of the stuff I wrote during my college party phase since I have changed a lot since then, but oh well. ;P Old fics can always be polished up, I like to think. I'll read anything, also, and I never flame. I have a very high sense of respect for anyone who's willing to come forth and post their stories or artwork anywhere on the web for others to see, so you go guys & gals. ;) IRL, I work full-time as a fashion model, and part-time as a photographer & graphic/web-designer, meanwhile doing volunteer work when I can, which accounts as the primary reasoning I've had near to no time for fanfiction or even fandom in general this past year... which sucks, so... I've decided to start using more of my time off to get back into my passion for reading&writing fanfiction. x) Lastly, yepa... that is me in the avatar, lol. I have always used my own photos as avatars, even back in 2003 when it was a feature one had to pay for (back when we were encouraged to use our own photos, even!), so I thought... why stop now? I also admittedly have a FB (which I don't spend all that much time on and frequently take breaks from -- I use it mostly for photographs/photography and viewing that of others) but if anyone here who has a FB is interested in friending me there, please do feel free to send me a PM and we can look each other up. ;P Same with chatting, as I don't have nearly enough fandom friends these days! Most of them "moved on", so to speak, but I believe having others to talk/chat with over a mutual passion for fandom, fanfiction, fanvids and/or fanart is part of what helps to keep us motivated in the creativity department! :D New Fanfiction status... Currently working on... 1.) "The New House", A House, M.D. post-finale fic set one year after House's "death", wherein Chase has, in many ways, become exactly as the title says... for not only is Chase, M.D. the new head of the Diagnostics Medicine Department, he's also -- after an unfortunate accident -- forced to walk with the aid of a cane while meanwhile dulling out the resulting pain with none other than Vicodin... In a mixture of angst and comedy, House reappears, lonely and longing for a new companion after Wilson's untimely and unfortunate demise... Having decided that Chase is his best bet on not only filling the void in his life which Wilson's absence has left, but also whereas matters of secrecy and stashing/hiding him are concerned, House returns... only to find that Chase, M.D. isn't exactly the same as the Dr. Robert Chase he once knew... 2.) "Crash and Yearn", A Heroes fic set post-season 4, wherein Hesam needs a place to "crash" for awhile until the renovations at his apartment complex are completed. Of course, he calls none other than his EMT paramedic's partner Peter Petrelli, and while Peter agrees to let Hesam crash at his place for a few days, Sylar is heavily against it. In fact, he's so against it that he's willing to go out of his way to "scare" Hesam into staying anywhere but there by acting as ridiculously annoying and insane as possible. Defeated, Sylar forms a new scheme and believes that by befriending Hesam he can finally show Peter what it feels like to be the "third wheel"... however, things stray horribly off base when Sylar and Hesam begin to develop a genuine friendship, and now, it's none other than Peter Petrelli who wants Hesam to crash and burn... especially once he develops the idea that Sylar is cheating on him, with Hesam... Angered and riddled with paranoia, Peter develops a rather... insane plan of his own that puts his relationship with Sylar to the ultimate test... 3.) "Variable Change", A Heroes fic set post-season 4, wherein a single decision makes all the difference. In chapter one, Hiro has to make a choice whether or not to travel back into the past to save Nathan Petrelli. The story includes the following chapters based on both scenarios: what would happen if he said, "Yes," and what would happen if he said, "No." A lot like the whole theme from Sliding Doors, in a way. One story, with many multiple outcomes for various characters, all a direct result of but a single decision... The reader is in control as to which decisions they want the characters to make with a "go to chapter" from there, but hopefully they'll read all the possibilities nonetheless. xD 4.) "Into the Blue Sky", A Breaking Bad fic wherein Walter White finally gets a taste of his own medicine. Literally. Now it's up to Jesse to bring Walter back down to Earth before he does something (else) crazy, like climbing onto the roof in his underwear or shooting a bullet or two into Jesse's surround sound system for having disrespected him. The above mentioned are just fics I've already started... I'm not sure if I'll finish them first or in any particular order, as I'm always getting new ideas for fanfics, but after the year of absence I've had from writing I'll be happy to get ANYTHING new up! LOL. I originally returned to this site with high hopes of finishing my Heroes fic, "It's a Life of Wonder", as I wrote it for Christmas last year and now an entire year has gone by to which it is now Christmastime again already, but... I am inexplicably lacking the inspiration to continue it at the moment, which saddens me as I used to have a reputation of always producing fics or ficlets 'round the holidays. It may have to do with the current, almost complete lacking of Christmas spirit within my circle of family&friends this year, but nevertheless... I'm sure I will finish "It's a Life of Wonder" eventually, but... After the great $mu & s0ng f!c deletion scare of 2008 on this site I became weary of posting/archiving stories that fit the bill in those departments and in turn deleted many fics here -- especially in the Tekken fandom, along with a couple Heroes fanfics -- which I later came to greatly regret as, once I put more thought into it, realized that none of the fics I removed were really that off the charts enough to warrant deletion while the s0ng f!cs simply could've had the lyrics removed. I have had a number of PM's both here and on lj requesting that the deleted fics be sent to those who inquired about wanting to read them again, so... Perhaps with a little more encouragement, I'll re-upload them here someday... especially seeing as many if not most of them aren't currently available anywhere for one's reading at the moment outside of my harddrive. *sigh* I have a DeviantArt account here (which I rarely ever update, once again due to a lack of adequate free time). But, drawing with my good ol' WACOM tablet is another neglected hobby of mine that I'm aiming to get back in to in the near-future. Also have still yet to renew my domain hosting service, but when/if I do once some spendable money is freed up, I'll get back to work on my website and upload more fics there, including the ones which I feel are too off that charts to be posted here (and coming from me... that means they must be extremely off the charts in one way or another, LOL).
