I started my story when I finished rereading the series before DH1 came out. I had a nagging plot-monkey in my head and wanted to write just to get my ideas on paper. I always thought that what the Trio went through in DH was enough to cause some pretty serious trauma that would take a long time to deal with. I don't read fanfiction myself, but I just imagine it would be a long hard road back to "normal".
