Author has written 19 stories for Inuyasha, Cowboy Bebop, Rurouni Kenshin, Soul Calibur, Chobits, Naruto, Disgaea, Avatar: Last Airbender, Batman, Heroes, and Wolverine & the X-Men. Damn, I will say I need to update this profile a bit more often. Okay, a little CURRENT info about myself. I’m Sephira jo. No, that’s not my real name. Though a part of my real name is used in that handle. I’ve been Sephira jo for almost ten years now, as I started with the handle when I was fifteen, back in high school, seems so far away. Also, it's not a play on Sephiroth. I had this screen name since before FFVII was released. It's greek for Sapphire, coupled with a part of my first name. _~ In my late twenties, have a two year old and live in the Great White North. Lupus and Fibro patient. Not enough time on my hands for a lot of this, but hey, I'll change what needs to be changed later on. In Progress: White Reflections: Status: 0. I'm really trying to work on this, I just have to dig it out and read it and write up the first part to send to Mar. Fire Flakes: Given the nature of drabbles, I can't say how far I am on the next chapter, just that I still have plenty of ideas and when inspiration strikes they will be updated. I'm sorry if this pisses off anyone, but I tried to finish one a few months ago and realized I wasn't having any fun anymore. Sorry, I've grown beyond the DBZ for girls. It would help if Takahasi could tell a cohesive storyline instead of reaching a point and rambling on and on and on and on and on... well, you get the idea. She's had twenty of so places she could've ended the series and ended it well and yet it drags on like a dead horse. I've lost interest. Now that you know about me, at least the general stuff, we’ll go on to the stuff I like and the stuff I don’t like, i.e., the stuff I hate. Stuff I like: Fuzzy ferrets, dogs, food, and well written stories top my list. As far as fandoms go, I like the canon (not the fanon) of the following: Star Wars, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Harry Potter, Batman (the comics, animated series, and the movies.), X-Men (almost all incarnations), Spiderman, The Riftwar Saga, anything by Roger Zelazny, Pirates of the Caribbean, FLCL, Cowboy Bebop, Sailor Moon, Alice 19th, Ayashi no Ceres, CLAMP, Justice League, JLU, Billy and Mandy, Fairly Odd Parents, Indigo Prophecy, Final Fantasy, Skies of Arcadia, Teen Titans, Disgaea, Soul Calibur, Utena, Kenshin and tons more that I don’t really want to spend time typing out. Pairings I like: The Good: Bruce/Talia – it does NOT get enough love! And it’s like one canon relationship that should! Aang/Katara – it’s cute! Sokka/Ty Lee – it’s flexible Sokka/Yue – it’s tragic… Sokka/Suki – Sokka’s just so damn shippable. Han/Leia – star wars is fuzzy love Luke/Mara – star wars OTP Robin/Starfire – it’s just so cute Harley/Ivy – awww, they’re criminally insane. Kenshin/Kaoru – awww, it’s fuzzy. The Bad/Ugly/Cracked: Slade/Robin – which you can see working in canon, thank you. XD Mai/Ty Lee – the fluff love would be … unbearable Harley/Joker – and I normally don’t do abusive relationships Things I hate: Badly written fics, Mary Sues, people thinking fanon is better than canon. Pairings just because they look good together or because fanbrats think they’re shiny. People who don’t take the time for one editor. One paragraph chapters in stories that aren’t prologues or epilogues. Pairings I HATE: (And no amount of persuasion will change my mind on these, so don’t even try.) Raven/Robin – it would become a wangst fest. Zuko/Katara – until there is actually canonical evidence of this: NO! Zuko/Momo is a more plausible pairing than this! Azula/Zhao – they had no screen time together and Azula’s power hungry nature wouldn’t bode well in a relationship where both are hungry for the top spot, kthnxby. Batman/Wonder Woman – I hate JL/JLU for this, trust me. Draco/Harry – how in HELL do you even convince this working without drugs? There are others, but simply thinking about them makes me even angrier. In your face, ZUTARA fans! (excerpt pulled from: The Secret of the Fire Nation by Aaron H. Bynum, pg 4 of his article on The Secret of the Fire Nation) Since I'm on the topic of maturing teen girls in Avatar: The Last Airbender, commentary on Katara in this review is long overdue. Fans of Katara, myself included, are really going to love "Secret of the Fire Nation." And no, it isn't just because we get to see her go cliff diving in her skivvies in the opening scene… although that would be a valid reason. These two episodes further allow Katara to let her hair down. Literally, as she goes swimming in the very first scene (she's gorgeous you know); and figuratively, as for the first time, the audience sees Aang clearly and directly tell Katara that he has feelings for her (and she accepts him with tears in her eyes). So, yeah. That’s me, and stuff. If you get a review from me too, you should be surprised, as with 90 percent of fanfics, I never make it past the summary. And of those 10 percent I read, I maybe make it past the opening lines of 1 and the first three paragraphs of .5 percent. And yeah. No animals were harmed in the writing of my fics. Unless I got hungry. And then chickens died, which is okay, because chickens are evil anyway. | |||||||
