Author's Notes
1. I try to use the characters' English names and ages in English fanfics and Japanese names and ages in Japanese fanfics, but I tend to mix the names of the third season characters to fit my personal preference. A list: Takato Matsuda, Jenrya Lee, Rika Makino, Jeri Katou, Kazu Shiota, Kenta Kitagawa, Shiuchon Lee, Ryo Akiyama. Also, for the first and second season characters, I use Tai, Matt, Izzy, and TK as nicknames for their Japanese ("real")names.
2. I have watched the first season in Japanese, scattered episodes of the second season in Japanese, and the third season in English. (You'll notice this isn't reflected in my preferred names used.) I've also listened to the CD dramas in Japanese. Currently, I'm trying to watch the first two seasons in English. (I am in love with Tai's American voice!)

Update from Odaiba: March 20, 2008
I'm currently on spring recess from university, and I decided to visit Japan since I haven't been here in years.
In the apartment I have here in Tokyo, I found my old drama CDs and fell in love with Digimon again. In an act of spontaneity (and I am not spontaneous person), I decided to hunt for some of the real landmarks used in Digimon. In Odaiba, I visited the Kamiya apartment complex, Daikanransha, the location where Tai went back to the Digital World before Myotismon, 02's main characters' school, and the area TK got sucked into the ocean where Kari was transported too. In Shinjuku, I visited Takato's bakery area, Takato's and Jenrya's school, Jenrya's apartment complex, the tunnel the Tamers went into to find Guilmon, and Guilmon's home at Shinjuku Park. I am planning to make a quick stop to Hikarigaoka later on today before I head back to uni. It's weird because I had never been to Odaiba, Shinjuku, or Hikarigaoka in all the time I've lived in Japan, even when Digimon was popular here. And I lived less than ten minutes away from Shinjuku! (I lived in Shibuya.) The closest I've gone to any of these places was seeing Odaiba past the Rainbow Bridge from the Shibaura side.
After reminiscing, I've decided there are some things I'll never understand:
1. Sorato. Why would they build up Taiora in the first season and the second movie if they were going to arbitrarily stick Matt and Sora together? Dumbest, worst idea ever.
2. Kenyako was picked instead of Takari. (The four planned official couplings by the makers of Digimon were Sorato, Koumi, Takari, and Kenyako; the director randomly chose two.)
3. Matt is an astronaut. Mimi hosts a cooking show while Sora does fashion. wtf. (Mostly, I don't get the astronaut career choice. I can kind of see Mimi wanting to be on television, while Sora wants to do fashion.)
Also, I broke the laptop that has all my fanfiction files in it. That's why there have been no recent updates. I will send the laptop in for repairs very soon, but I can never find the time to go to the Sony store. (I bought a replacement laptop, which is what I'm using now.)
Ultimately, what I'm trying to say is...
I'm not dead.
