Author has written 29 stories for Thunderbirds.

(rhymes with Pikachu)

I'm a stay-at-home mom who has rediscovered both the Thunderbirds and the joy of writing fiction. In fact, I'm starting to post some original fiction at Fictionpress under the same penname if you are interested. Thanks for any and all reviews; they really help.

For the record, I write mostly TV-verse stories; the only movie-verse story I currently have is The White Winds.

Due to Fanfiction.net's policy about reprinting song lyrics, my songfic, Bedtime Song can be found at lunaescence.com and in my FanLib account.

Artwork!

Scenes from my fics, Turnabout, Serendipity, Masquerade and Overtures, as drawn by MathGirl can be found at my Photobucket account. My icon is a sample of her work: Lucinda May Myles from Serendipity, Masquerade and Overtures and is used with permission.

Versions of The White Winds boys and other manga-style Thunderbirds art by my daughter is also available at my photobucket account. Hope you enjoy! New picture of Gordon added May, 2008!

Update:

July 2008 - Well, FanLib is going to close in the next couple of weeks, so I might as well post Coming Online here. I'll miss the place! Next chapter of The White Winds is started, still working on Overtures 27.

Got an odd little review that made me add the line above about writing mostly TV-verse fic. If the reviewer had signed in, I would have been glad to give a polite reponse to their question, but alas, it was anonymous. So, to cc, whoever you may be, the only story I have with Fermat in it is The White Winds. Sorry.

Inspirational quote:

During NaNoWriMo, I particularly enjoyed the weekly pep talks that they sent out via email. They were written by published writers like Garth Nix and Neil Gaiman. The one from Deanna Raybourn on November 25th was particularly interesting and I'm trying to keep it in mind. I've posted the part that I particularly liked here.

I know, writing every day is challenging. But it is also incredibly easy. When you write every day, you are always in the story.
There is never a period of reconnecting with your characters, of trying to remember what mood you were attempting to create the last time you worked.
And by working every day, you engage your subconscious in a way that simply isn't possible when you keep a more whimsical schedule.
There is no need to summon the muse because there is no time for the fickle little strumpet to go anywhere.
--Deanna Raybourn

Current observed TBs fandom fanfic trends:

Sweet Tracys as kids stories - backing down to a dull roar.
Tracy Sister fics (especially twins to the boys)... always and forever!
LOTS of Alan-whumping (So much for it easing off! It's coming back with a vengeance!)
Scott-whumping!
Alan at school...whether or not it's Wharton (ramping up again!)
Alan has a twin, whether known or not... sigh.
Poor Alan is sick! Oh woe!
New girls for all the guys.
Some interesting new authors and stories coming along.

On archiving and linking:

Please do not copy or archive my fanfictions anywhere without my express consent or without giving authorial credit. THIS INCLUDES ADDING MY STORIES TO C2 COMMUNITIES! (Truthfully, I wish I could make this bigger and bolder because no one seems to notice it here or in my author's notes! People, I would like to know where my stories are being archived/recced/linked to. Is a little politeness too much to ask?)

To ask permission, I may be reached at my email of record or you can send me a PM. I don't bite, really, and will be very grateful that you were polite enough to ask.

Any and all original characters are mine and may not be used without my express written consent. Thank you.

A plug!

For FanHistory - a wiki recounting the history of fandom, by focusing on the fandoms that make it up. That's over 40 years for Thunderbirds, folks! Check out the Thunderbirds article, still under construction. Hey, you could even edit it, if you have some time!

And its sister site, FanworksFinder - making it easy to find and recommend fanworks across the internet.

Troll flamers!

Flame Rising has made another appearance in our fandom corner. See the Classic Thunderbirds Forum for his ID numbers to add to your blocking filters. As always, report the troll, block the troll, but don't feed it!

Favorite sayings:

From a fortune cookie: You are a lover of words, someday you will write a book.

From a key chain: The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has limits.

From a t-shirt: To err is human; to forgive, divine. Neither is Marine Corps policy.

From my 2007 Mother's Day t-shirt (thanks, Honey!): Save the Earth! It's the only planet that has chocolate!

Enjoy!
