And yes, I'm also barely on the Harry/Ginny bandwagon. I could see it coming back in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I don't write slash and rarely read it, so you'll never find any here. I'm firmly in denial of both Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, so in my little Potterverse worlds, they didn't happen and won't happen. I may, however, refer to bits of canonical knowledge from them and perhaps even write some reaction pieces. Don't hold your breath waiting for 'em, though. I've too many other stories in the works to start another. I have a degree in creative writing, so as you can probably imagine, I'm pretty good at what I do and fanfic is my escape. Well, as per the requirements, anything that can even vaguely be labeled a songfic has been removed from ff.net. January 27, 2010- A note to my For Duty and Honor readers: For Duty and Honor is neither finished nor abandoned. We're currently experiencing technical difficulties due to Real Life. The next two chapters are still in beta/editing because my main Britpicker has been really busy and hasn't had the time to look at them. I promise to post as soon as I can, but the time lag between chapters can't be helped at the moment--it's well beyond my control. I'm still writing Precatio Una, because my highly distractable muse saw some shiny plots and ran after them. There is a Harry Potter story over on Potions and Snitches for the Invisibility challenge brewing as well, called Hiding in Plain Sight. I also have three (yikes!) crossovers in the works, and I'm coming up with a rough outline for a sequel to For Duty and Honor tentatively titled For Honor and Loyalty. The crossovers are, first and foremost, a HP/JAG cross entitled Of Wands and Gold Wings, a HP/Labyrinth cross called Underhill, Overhill, and I've started posting a HP/Forever Knight cross called Midnight Watch. Yeah, I'm weird. The crossover plot bunnies assaulted me. September 21, 2007--There are no plans for a sequel to True Confessions. I've received many reviews asking for one, but as of right now, I have no plans for one. :) I arrived at a good place to stop... so I did. I know all the threads aren't neatly wrapped up the way I usually do in longer pieces, but that's why it's a short story. I am, however both shocked and honored at the response to my little short story. I mean, it's garnered 4, 650 hits, 51 reviews, 41 C2s, and 56 favorite lists. Wow. For a one shot. As a fandom, y'all have been incredibly nice to me. For Duty and Honor is the only one that's on more C2 lists--200 in fact. To all those who have reviewed and/or added me to your C2 groups, thank you. There is definitely more to come. December 12, 2010-- Nothing is abandoned. I'm just busy due to the monster known as Real Life. A toddler in the house leave little time for writing, especially since she's growing and needs Auntie Laura to make her new clothes because RTW is too short in 2T, and too big in 3T and Mommy doesn't sew! (We babysit while my brother and sister-in-law work, so have half shares in raising her.) I do have some stories that I'm dabbling with, but like I said, my time is limited, and my family is more important than writing at the moment. I miss it, but I can go back... Kids grow fast and my niece won't be two forever. Oh, and a note: I delete reviews from obvious trolls. Yes, Mary77, I'm talking to you. Constructive criticism is one thing. Accusing me of condoning child abuse is another. It's one of the fastest ways to piss me off! My mom was an abused child and is still dealing with the effects 47 years later. Personally, I'm bloody minded about it--I say we stump hang all the child abusers and let whatever waits in the afterlife to sort them out. It may not be a popular opinion, but there it is.
