I'm contemplating removing most of BS from FFnet because of their violence/sex issues, and just keeping it available for download. Any thoughts?

I've started working on a Skyfall fanfic to get me back in the groove of writing. I refuse to dumb down and vanilla all my writing to meet FFNET's guidelines, and as AFF is glitching and won't let me post/add/edit a damn thing, I'm quite happy with my new AO3 account. Link can be found below. If I'll be posting anywhere these days, it will be TUMBLR and AO3. I'll try to keep this profile relatively up to date with my activity.

December 2012 Update:

Hello Everyone,

I know I may as well have died. I was actually finishing up a degree, then moving to a new place, then I got ill with something which eventually resulted in hospitalization and some depression... so yeah. That's why I haven't been writing recently. Well, it's the tip of the ice burg really. And I've been working on a novel, which is coming along nicely at 40k so far. But I'm finally in a place where I want to start writing again, so I've started an account on tumblr. The link is below. Esama looks like he's having so much fun, and he's been writing lots recently, so I figured I'd give it a try. I promise nothing.

I believe most of my stories with Adult Rated material have links at the beginning or end of the chapter that lead to the unedited content. If a chapter has been edited and there is no link, then you should be able to find the corresponding page through one of the links above. Everything is organized rather clearly.

In regards to FFNET getting up in arms about porn and violence on the website…

Funny fact, for anyone who’s interested. I met someone in the industry that told me why FFNET is so against smut. Advertisers. Competitors for companies like Ford, for example, apparently take screen shots of these ads displayed next to smutty bits of writing and send them in as “complaints,” saying things like “I’m horrified that your company is being represented in this way, blah blah…” Scandal. So that’s a mystery solved for me. You can now blame ads for all your problems. ADS, the pandemic, a literary version of AIDS that strives to attack your stories in their deepest, darkest recesses…

But seriously. I have contemplated removing sexual and violent content from my stories, and it’s not a viable option. The hard core sex has always been weeded out, but the violence? Half my content consists of violence. I have never tiptoed around the gritty details. It’s not going to happen. So, while I thank you all for your concern, there’s nothing to be done. Prepare for my imminent destruction, and bookmark my other posting locations.
