I have just recently discovered a book by Elizabeth Gaskell set in the mid 1800's called 'North & South' which I absolutely loved and which I would recommend to anyone who like me loves period fiction and romance. (If the book isn't quite your scene, you could always check out the BBC Mini series which i think came out in about 2004 - beautifully filmed!) A wonderfully endeering love story.

Also for fans of Regency if you haven't already read some of her works I strongly advise you to get your hands on any regency romances written by Georgette Heyer. Her books are light and humurous. One of my favourite authors. There isn't a lot of FF on this site for her works - something I hope to remedy in the future.

The only problem I have with FanFiction.net is that there are so many wonderful stories to read that I don't spend enough time writing!
