Author has written 3 stories for Harry Potter, and King Arthur. I'd prefer not to give a biography of myself, but instead, I'd like to explain my reason for writing fan fiction, as I believe it is a rather strange vice indeed. I've enjoyed reading fan fiction for quite a while now, all beginning with my addiction to 'N Sync and Backstreet Boys fiction, a phase which has thankfully passed. After that, I became interested in a "boy band" of a different sort, namely The Beatles. After that fandom, I moved onto the Lord of the Rings, which I still enjoy to a degree, although I have to admit, that fandom has more than it's fair share of terrible writers, where Mary-sueage abounds. After LotR, I soon moved on to Harry Potter, as the two fandoms share many fans between them. Almost immediately, the Marauders and the Marauder-era became my area of preference, but I very soon came to notice something-- every Remus Lupin romance set in the Marauder- era either involves him and Sirius or him and Hermione. Now, I've got nothing against time-turner fics, or slash fics for that matter (I've never read one, and don't plan on it, but to each their own), but after looking valiantly for a Remus-centric fic, sans slash and time-turners, and finding none, I decided to write my own. The resulting nonsense, titled Ataraxia, will surely employ a riculously long plot and will ultimately be a massive undertaking. Just thought you might like to know. :-) |
