Author has written 11 stories for Harry Potter, Scooby Doo, and Teen Titans. July 1st, 2007- This is a delayed comment. Airplane! is completed, and as of now I've got a decent amount of its sequel planned out. However, if I don't have a firm grasp of what I want to happen in a story, it is a rare possibility that I'll finish it, so the sequel might take a while to post. What are the odds that Lily has two friends that are so completely alike and compatible with James' friends? Sirius' man-whore disposition in stories: I've read through all the books, and I've yet to find solid evidence that Sirius was a womanizer. In fact, if you do go by the series' insinuations, Sirius was arrogant, maybe even pompous. And, he seems like he had a darker personality- keeping in mind that with his upbringing, that'd make more sense than him behaving as a crazed five-year-old with ADAH stuck in a teenager's body with his mind permanently in the gutter. Mary-Sue OCs: I'm not a fan of Mary-Sues, but it has to be said that I've been guilty with my older fanfiction of making Lily a Mary-Sue. I can slightly stand Mary-Sues if they're cannon characters. Lily being a complete bitch: Obviously, Lily was a nice enough girl to have been so admired by the adults in Harry's life. James had to have a reason for wanting to marry her, and I don't think it was because she treated him like crap. Marauder-era stories with 21st muggle technology and culture: They're wizards. They lived in the 70s. No one is going to have heard of Blink 182, or Radiohead, or any other band like that. And no one will have a cell phone, much less having heard of one- even if the story is partially played out at the Evans' residence. Of course, I can understand technology's presence in a story if there's an AU warning and it actually helps with the plot. | |||||||||||
