Hold me: Coming!

Beyond being an old DBZ fan, I'm somewhat of a Harry Potter fan, particularly of time travel fics (and HP/LL fics!). Hold me while I'm here is my personal contribution.
Sorry HP people - I don't have HP stories in my favorites, but if you check Hold me, you'll see I list recommendations at the bottom of the first few chapters.

Recently, some reviewers have come forward to ask me to finish Sins of the Father. Will I? Depends on how my other writing projects go.

They're liars.

Cheaters.

Thieves.

Womanizers.

Manipulators.

Even killers.

Toxic.

They cut a swathe through society, slipping around the edges, gnawing away at the underbelly.

Fearless.

Defiant.

And then it happened.

A hiccup, a meeting, a chance - and their lives were upended.

"Who is that?"

"I have no idea."

A woman.

Strong, death-defying, determined -

"You have no idea what you're getting yourself into."

"Neither do you."

“Ya' certainly know how to get under a girl's skin.”

“I'm trying.”

On the opposite side.

They clash, spar, wound each other - but nothing goes as planned.

"You have to go."

"Just kill me." [They kiss - he wakes up.]

"I love you."

It's cataclysmic.

"It's wrong."

"Don't you think I know that?"

They are bad men and they know no other way.

Blackmail.

Death threats.

Chains.

Lies.

And she hates him.

"The only chance you had with me was when I was unconscious."

"How many times do we have to kill you?"

They clash, spar, wound each other - nothing goes as planned.

The bad man changes, little by little.

For her, and yet for himself as well. He perserves.

“Yah never give up… do yah?”

“What kind of thief would I be if I did, chère? An' look where it's landed me."

He is a lover.

A poet.

A warrier.

A madman.

He turns himself inside out.

"If ya have any feelings for me, any at all, leave me alone."

"S'funny, m' feelin's f'r ya are the very same reason I'm stayin'."

Sometimes, she even loves him back. But not for long, never for long.

And here the fans, the cynics part. Can he change enough?

Does our nature, our nurture define the rest of our lives?

"Is there a chance?"

"One in a million."

"So you're saying there is one."

This is our refuge.

redemption:

a. deliverance; rescue.

b. Theology. salvation; to deliver from sin and its consequences by means of a sacrifice offered for the sinner.

c. atonement for guilt.
