Challenge label: Legerdemain
Requirements:
1. Must be set in the canon universe.
2. Must include Sess/Kag and at least some amount of Inu/Kag romance. Rating is up to you.
3. Kagome should be forced into a situation in which she spends a lot of time with Sesshoumaru. You decide their exact relationship.
4. Sesshoumaru must not recognize Kagome when they first join company. Kagome may not turn into a demon, but may be disguised otherwise.
5. Kagome must endeavor to keep her identity hidden from Sesshoumaru--be creative. Possible reasons: Protect Inuyasha or the Shikon no Tama; seeking something from Sesshoumaru; hiding from persuers; fear of Sesshoumaru; etc.
6. The Kag/Sesshoumaru romance must begin to develop before Sesshoumaru realizes her real identity/Kagome reveals herself.
7. Inuyasha must believe Kagome to be dead at some point in the story.
Pluses: Lots of Shakespearian-style mistaken identities and misunderstandings, action scenes. Humor is a good thing, but it can be as serious as you like. Bonus points if you use Kagura or Kikyou in a smooth tactful way. May or may not include Rin.
Minuses: Any scene taking place in a castle, excessive numbers of OCs, reckless abuse of canon.

As you may have gathered, I already had a plot and part of a story worked out for this, but decided it was going to be too long to keep me interested, so I am offering it up to the public.
