SLYTHERIN'S PROPHECY: Halfway done with the next chapter. On hiatus until the plot bunnies hit me again. I will finish this for nostalgic reasons, I'm just not sure when. Will most likely be rewritten as well.

FREEING THE SOUL: 9/15 pages finished. Also on hiatus, for the same reason as mentioned above. The story is there, floating in my head somewhere, but just out of reach.

SLYTHERIN TRINITY: ON HIATUS! Currently trying to re-edit in an attempt to complete the story. Will eventually finish, for nostalgic reasons, just not sure when.

THE DRAGON LORD: ON HOLD UNTIL I FINISH 'FREEING THE SOUL'.

GOOD MORNING: originally going to be a one-shot, but it kinda ran away from me. Ideas for a fourth chapter are floating around, but nothing concrete yet.

TRON: NEW FRONTIERS: The plot bunny i mentioned below, well, fourth chapter has been posted. this is going to be fun. Yay for original, never-been-done-before ideas!

One final thing: please don't send me reviews simply asking me to update, or when i will be able to update; its rather discouraging, although i do appreciate the effort. the one word reviews don't work so well.

update: 01/25/2011: I don't have any of my data for my older fics right now, the external harddrive where i have everything stored is busted, and i can't salvage anything right now! Updates will be whenever they happen, but i will try and finished my current stories, the ones that haven't been adopted! I am also back in school, so updates will be even slower, as I can only really concentrate on one fic at a time between school and work.

I am currently obsessed with a few different fandoms at the moment, and a few plot bunnies hit me.

Plot Bunny #1: I have a crush on Karl Urban, and after i watched the movie RED, a thought hit me: is it possible to have a Star Trek/RED, or Doom/Star Trek/RED crossover? how would that work? I'm trying to figure that out, and i might be on to something with it, since i don't think it's been done yet, or thought of yet.

Plot Bunny #2: Was watching Tron: Legacy again, and a sudden image of Jim Kirk and Sam Flynn sitting in a bar with matching grins as stories were exchanged hit me rather hard. I am now trying to figure out how that would work, and again, I might be on to something.

OBITUARY FOR THE LATE MR. COMMON SENSE

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense,who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.

He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as: Knowing when to come in out of the rain; why the early bird gets the worm; Life isn't always fair; and Maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge). His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6 year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get Parental consent to administer Calpol, sun lotion, or a band-aid to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband; churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.

Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason.

He is survived by his 3 stepbrothers; I Know My Rights, Someone Else Is To Blame, and I'm A Victim. Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing.
