-Mother's follows Setsuna and Mokomi, boths as children and later as adults.
-Rebirth is the offical start of the series. Years are measures by the childrens ages, but even that is unreliable given the village's distortion of time.
-Present takes place in the "present day", away from the alternative time of Minakami village.

She could only stare up at his back. Her legs folded on either side of her body, she was dumbstruck. He now stood between her and her attackers. Two seconds longer; just two seconds longer and she would have been dead. And he had saved her.

He was always there to save her. But… it couldn’t be him.
