I'm a poet and untrained writer [never taken special classes]. My favorite series include Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. I love Dr. Who, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Avatar: The Last Airbender, the Dark-Hunter series and MANY other fantasy shows/books

I've very little experience writing fan fictions, though I am writing an original novel on the side.

Portraying other people's characters is a scary venture and one that I wasn't sure I wanted to delve into at first. I can only hope that I give them even half as much life as their original creators gave them.

It's finally happened! After a good long time puttering around on this site, I have started a fan fiction! I've always been afraid of writing something awful until one of my friends looked at me one day and said, "You won't know till you try!". I've taken that message to heart and so, soon to be posted is my very first fan fiction. Please, take a look if you've a mind to. It's a Lord of the Rings fic starting from the breaking of the Fellowship with the focus being on Legolas. This is a 10th walker of sorts I suppose, as it's added another member to the party, a female elf (gasps)

I'm very nervous about the release of this fic so please, be kind in your reviews. I always welcome constructive criticism as long as it isn't cruel or unnecessarily mean. I always appreciate praise as it gives me hope that I can make something people will enjoy.

Posting schedule will be once a week - until school starts up again in late August - so that I have time to write new fancy chapters for you. Please forgive me for changing this schedule so much; I'm really trying to find a pattern that works. This will be the last change to the schedule until late August when college starts up.
