I finally learned how to finish a story. I found that I really love writing this fluf although I can see that I need to work on my spelling and punctuation.

I am a Southerner and will sometimes use that in my flights of fancy. It's who I am. It's what I know. I think that some of the best people in the world live in the South. But I also know that wherever you are you feel the same way about your home.

I first found fan fiction on the old Soney "Sheena" message board. There were some wonderful writers there and although that board no longer exists some of the writers are still going strong at http://tv.groups.yahoo.com/group/sheena_cutterfans/.

I then found X-files fanfics with more great writers. There were numerous websites by the different authors (many of them gone now) some devoted to Mulder Scully romance, some to Dogget Reyes romance and then some devoted to slash as well. There were even whole websites devoted to character torture fanfics (I can't help it I read almost anything centered around Krycek) many of those fabulous writers are now at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AlexK-H-C-orD/ as well as here at FanFiction.net.

Harry Potter was another favorite, some of the best fics you'll find is right here at FanFiction.net.

I am currently working on a Firefly story and hope to add it when I can make it more coherent.

I thank all who have left comments good and bad, especially the constructive advice. Thanks mtc, I plan to go back and look at Family with clearer eyes and not be so completely dependent on spell check. I got lazy (to be fair I did most of my writing from 10:00p to midnight).

I will continue to plod along, maybe I'll learn a little something along the way.
