Since I've started back at school again, updates for Duties will probably be more erratic and I can't promise weekly updates since I'm busy with college work and applying for university. I am not, however, going to give up writing, and there WILL be updates, even if they're not quite as regular as you've been used to.

Future Plans for Fics

I've decided that the spin-off to The Duties of an Austrian Maid centred around Francis and Arthur WILL be going ahead as soon as I've finished Duties. It will be about Arthur's week in France and will be written in the same style as Duties, although I haven't planned it out yet so I can't tell you how long it will be (probably shorter than Duties though).

After I've finished Duties and its spin-off I'll be taking a break from multi-chapter fics and writing oneshots for a while. I want to dabble in other pairings too!

The next multi-chapter fic I intend to write - when I have the energy to face weekly updates again - will involve a teenage KingArthur!England, France and the Hetalia version of the legends of King Arthur. It isn't fully planned yet, but it will definitely involve the essentials of excalibur, knights of the Round Table, magic, quests and plenty of FrUK. Because, seriously, why hasn't anybody done this yet?

Other multi-chapter fic ideas that I'm playing with:

An Anschluss fic - Germany/Austria, Prussia/Austria, Germany/Veneziano. Lots of angst, love triangles and touchy historical subjects

Gakuen Hetalia fic - which will probably be more like a string of loosely connected high school-based oneshots involving many pairings and generally being updated whenever I feel like it. It won't be regularly updated or have any kind of real plot

Fairies Strike Back fic - complicated epic idea involving magical creatures who aren't so cute and cuddly, a mysterious aurora in Britain, Arthur becoming so infused with magic that nobody can see him apart from Matthew and Norway (I guess I'll have to give him a name), the race against time to save the UK from disappearing completely and a touch of USUK.

Random: I write the first drafts of my fanfics with paper and pen whilst lying on my bedroom floor and getting a sore elbow from leaning it on the carpet. A blank page on Microsoft Word scares the crap out of me because I think there's no way I'll be able to fill it with words and it kills my muse. I hate typing up fics and proofreading them, though I can touch type pretty fast so it doesn't take as long as it would otherwise. Also, if I'm stuck for ideas or have reached a hard part to write, I shuffle playing cards because this helps me think of good ideas. I don't know why. But it works.

Hetalia pairings that I ship:

Prussia/Austria OTP! I love these two so much! I have plenty of oneshots planned for them, and of course I'm still writing my pride and joy Duties which is all about them

US/UK There's a lot of fanfictions about these two that I won't read because it's just gotten to be a cliche, but if there's a good, original piece, I love it because these two are so cute!

FrUK This is like my second OTP. Does me not hating France cause me to fail at being English? XD Because, if so, I will gladly fail

Spain/Romano I don't read enough of these and I don't have enough fics of them on my to-write list. I need more plotbunnies for them, damnit!

Germany/Austria ...I know, I'm such a traitor to my OTP XD But I need to write an Anschluss fic like I need to breathe. I really do.

Prussia/England In my Prusstria head canon, these two are totally BFFs 4realz, but I also ship them. I accidentally stumbled across the LJ comm for them and was intrigued so I read an awesome fanfic about them and since then I've been converted XD

Korea/China I wish more people would write these two. I love the strips where they interact - they're so funny!

Russia/England ...I don't know why either. I read a fanfic about them and it was so good...so now I ship them. Like, so hard it's unreal. I don't understand. I just wish that more people would not understand with me XD

Germany/Veneziano Because it's just so right. I know it, you know it, everyone knows it. It just...is

And many other assorted pairings, many which involve England or Austria, because they're just so pairable-withable

I just want to write a little thank you here to everyone who reads/favourites/watches/reviews my stories. You guys have no idea how happy it makes me to know that so many people are enjoying my work, especially Duties, which is my baby (though it's growing up so fast!). I try to reply to all my reviews, but if I don't reply to yours it's probably because I just couldn't think of anything to say, because I like to have something a bit more substantial than just 'thanks for the review' which sounds a bit impersonal and pointless, in my opinion. Besides, you guys should already know that I appreciate you more than any words could express! That goes for my anonymous reviewers as well - there are times when I really want to send you a reply to your review, but I can't, so just know that I love you guys endlessly and I wouldn't be so driven to improve my writing and update on a semi-regular basis. I know that I have a long way to go with my writing abilities (despite the praise you guys shower on me, my ego is still under control!) and any critique is appreciated because I want to be able to do the best I can for you guys, and, of course, for myself.
