| Miss Taggart Transcontinental |
Author has written 4 stories for StarTrek: The Next Generation, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and StarTrek: Deep Space Nine. I am a college student, studying to be a doctor, and am particularly interested in science, especially physics and chemistry. I am also a musician; I play violin and piano quite well. I have always enjoyed writing, though I mostly write philosophical and intellectual essays about whatever random topic pops into my head, so this is all new to me. I am a classic INTJ, so I over-think everything. If this shows in my writing and you find that I am too wordy or am over-describing anything, please point it out. My favorite book in the world is Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged, because Dagny Taggart is so much like me, but I would never write fanfiction for it because I think it is already a complete work. I am also a big fan of Star Trek (TOS and TNG), which is probably what I will end up writing for. The Star Trek universe is where I go to get lost when I have had a hard week and feel trapped in my own skin. I have always been fascinated by space, and I think that my life would be infinitely easier if people were Vulcans. My biggest problem in life is that I expect everything to make sense, and I expect people to be logical. The world doesn't make sense and people are illogical, which can be unsettling. I relate the best to the nonhuman elements of the Enterprise crew: Spock, Ro Laren, and Data. I also relate well to Picard, and I like Guinan simply because she's cool. I like fanfiction that is based on canon - missing scenes and the events of canon told from a different viewpoint are my favorites, so that is probably what I will end up writing. I am a born-again Christian, so I will NEVER write - or read, for that matter - slash of any kind. And since I have a very Vulcan personality, pairings probably won't show up at all, because I am not into romance. God bless! | |||||
